Woman arrested in R500 000 Limpopo drug bust

Polokwane – A woman was arrested for alleged possession of powder used to make the drug Cat, with an estimated street value of R500 000, in Modimolle on Friday, Limpopo police said.

Colonel Ronel Otto said an operation by the police's drug unit led to the arrest of a 24-year-old woman, who was also found in possession of 42 ecstasy tablets and 10 cellphones worth a combined R26 300.

In a separate incident in Tzaneen on Thursday, a 47-year old man was arrested with 93 dagga plants and almost 17kg of dagga with an estimated street value of over R50 000.

Both suspects were expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
