A trip to the mall ended in tears of joy for this
Johannesburg mom.
According to a statement released by ER24, paramedics were
called to a shopping centre in Northriding, north of Johannesburg on Monday
night.
Upon arrival paramedics found a woman lying in the security
offices at the shopping centre. She was surrounded but security officers who
offered to assist her.
Paramedics quickly stepped in and helped her deliver a baby
boy.
According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring, there were
some complications.
“There were some
minor complications, as to be expected in this situation, however the child was
treated on the scene and later transported to Rahima Moosa Hospital for further
care."
Russel says both mother and son are in good condition.
