A woman was killed on Monday afternoon after she was hit by a train at the Oosterzee station in Parow, Cape Town. 

According to ER24, paramedics arrived at the scene to find the woman's lifeless body lying on the train tracks. 

"Paramedics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life.

"Unfortunately, nothing could be done for her and she was declared dead," said ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring.
