Worcester man bust with drugs at home

Cape Town – A 55-year-old man was arrested for drug possession in Worcester, Western Cape police said on Sunday.

Officers followed up information from residents and searched a house in Zwelethemba on Saturday morning, according to the police’s Facebook page.

They found 24 straws of tik (methamphetamine), 307 mandrax tablets, and dagga parcels.

The drugs had an estimated street value of R17 000.

The man was set to appear in the Worcester Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

The police thanked the community for its assistance in keeping drugs off the streets.
