Cape Town - President Jacob Zuma will attend the funeral of nine of the 10 ANC members killed in a bus accident on their way home from the ANC manifesto launch on Sunday.

A joint funeral service will be held in Vosloorus on Saturday morning.

Ten people died when the bus carrying 65 ANC members to Ekurhuleni, in Gauteng, overturned on the N1 near Winburg.

According to Free State police, the two drivers swapped seats when the accident occurred.

Regional chairperson of the ANC in Ekurhuleni, Mzwandile Masina, told News24 the party was waiting the official report of the accident and that the bus was in a good condition.

He also said the party would support the families of those who died “in any way possible”.
