Cape Town – An Australian television company, Sunday Night, is set to release footage of murder accused Oscar Pistorius re-enacting the night he shot Reeva Steenkamp, according to reports.

eNCA reported that the “secret video” was shot by an American company as part of pre-trial prep and shows Pistorius walking on his stumps, while re-enacting the evening Steenkamp was killed.

Pistorius’s lawyers are reported furious to how the video got released and has told eNCA that Paralympian had not given permission for the footage to be aired.

EWN's Mandy Wiener tweeted: "Interesting - New OscarPistorius reenactment video shows him on his stumps, lifting 'Reeva'. On his version he had his prosthetic legs on."

Peter du Toit said: "Imagine killing someone then doing a reenactment and selling it for millions. Wow. Speechless."

Pistorius is charged with murdering his girlfriend Steenkamp. He shot her through the locked door of the toilet in his Pretoria home, apparently thinking she was an intruder about to open the door and attack him. She was struck in the hip, arm, and head.

After firing the shots, Pistorius used a cricket bat to break open the door to get to a dying Steenkamp.

He has pleaded not guilty to the charge of murder and to three firearm-related charges.
