15:00 - Court adjourns for the day. Proceedings will resume at 09:30 on Wednesday morning. We'll be live updating, of course.

14:56 - "Fresco says he hoped Tasha's would think gunshot was a kitchen gas explosion. Gas explosion, balloon, cricket bat. Got it?" tweets Rebecca Davis.

14:55 - Oscar normally picked up the tab if we went out for dinners, says Fresco. Again, he can't remember who paid.

14:53 - Now back to discussing how far Fresco and Pistorius's heads were away from each other at restaurant. Photo of table shown in court.

14:50 - "Three words from Fresco: "I saw that." Which led to admission that he's seen reports on #OscarPistorius trial. A rather big no-no," tweets Phillip de Wet.

14:48 - Fresco admits to following Twitter and news coverage of the trial. Roux jumps on this snippet of info - doesn't look good for this witness. Fresco explains that "it's everywhere" and people told him that "your name is being mentioned" – he wanted to know what is being said.

14:47 - Fresco says his story was that gun fell out of his shorts. Says he wasn't wearing tracksuit pants, it was the middle of summer.

14:46 - "Regardless of truthfulness of account, Roux's made Fresco look bad with talk of throwing away speeding tickets,trying to cover up gunshots," tweets Aislinn Laing

14:43 - Inconsistencies on exactly when Pistorius asked Fresco to take the blame for the shooting at Tashas Restaurant in Melrose Arch in January last year.

14:40 - Roux gets Fresco to re-read his original statement.

14:37 - Roux is challenging Fresco on his statement on the events following the shooting in the restaurant, and who came over first, and what was said to restaurant manager and owner.
14:35 - Carried on chatting after the shooting incident, can't remember about what.
14:34 - "I offered to pay for the damages with the owner afterwards," says Fresco. He doesn't remember Pistorius offering to pay.
14:33 - Fresco sounding a bit frazzled by the relentless questioning by Roux.
14:31 - Fresco repeats what happened in the restaurant after the shooting. Much of this is repeated. 
14:29 - Roux puts to Fresco that in Lerena's evidence, Pistorius was upset that he didn't tell him the magazine was in gun. Fresco replies that he thought Pistorius was competent with weapons and would have checked.
14:27 - Roux repeating a lot of facts mentioned in earlier testimony, seems to be going around in circles, unsettling the witness.

14:25 - Roux brings up the issue of why Fresco didn't say in his initial statement that Pistorius had asked him to take the blame for the gun going off in the restaurant. 

14:22 - "Roux baiting Fresco and he's at real risk of biting. Can't remember detail, becoming irritable. Remember Judge must decide if he's truthful," tweets Mandy Wiener.
14:20 - "Put yourself in Fresco's position. Your good friend shoots your even better friend. The definition of divided loyalties," tweets Andrew Harding
14:16 - Fresco says his head was about 30cm from Pistorius's head when he handed him his firearm in Tashas Restaurant. He remembers they both leaned forward and were "fairly close". This relates to whether Pistorius would have heard Fresco's warning about the gun being loaded above the noise in the restaurant.
14:14 - Fresco still can't remember what happened after they went to dinner at Atholl Square on the evening of the sunroof shooting incident. 
14:12 - Fresco repeats what he said to Pistorius after the shooting incident, and then says they carried on, with his ear ringing. 

14:09 - Fresco denies that metro police officer used his radio to fish out the bullet from the car, saying he cut his finger trying to get it. 

14:07 - Roux asks how is it possible for two people in the car to have such different accounts of the same incident.

14:06 - Roux refers to Samantha Taylor's testimony, that the shot was fired through the sunroof because Oscar Pistorius and Fresco were "angry at the police". 
14:04 - Roux continues cross-examining Darren Fresco, starts with questions over the sunroof shooting incident.

14:02 - Court resumes.
