Pretoria - The Oscar Pistorius murder trial entered its third day in the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria on Wednesday. Below is a compilation of quotes of the day.

Charl Johnson

"Oscar is not guilty. Why are you lying in court?" - voicemail message left on State witness Charl Johnson's phone.

"It keeps on ringing so I keep it off... I feel my privacy has been compromised severely." - Johnson on his cellphone number being read out in court.

"I'm trying in all fairness to say is let's look at other possibilities. A man's life is at stake." - defence lawyer Barry Roux cross-examining Johnson.

"I'm absolutely convinced that I heard a lady and a man scream." - Johnson.

"I don't know where I get Pistorius from, I apologise." - Roux, after mistakenly addressing Johnson as "Mr Pistorius".

"Maybe you and your wife should have stood together in the witness box." - Roux to Johnson, on similarities in his and his wife's witness statements.

Judge Thokozile Masipa

"Aren't you going a bit far?" - Judge Thokozile Masipa to Roux.

"Your voice is getting soft again." - Masipa to Johnson.

"Stand up... I hope this is the last time... I don't like it." - Masipa to a journalist whose laptop made a noise in court.

Kevin Lerena

"A gun was passed under the table... to Oscar." - state witness Kevin Lerena, a professional boxer and a friend of Pistorius, testifying about a shot that went off in a restaurant while Pistorius was there.

"A shot went off in the restaurant and then there was just complete silence... I looked down on the floor. Exactly where my foot was stationary. There was a hole in the floor." - Lerena.

"I had a little graze on my toe... there was blood on my toe, yes." - Lerena.

"Please, just say it was you." - Lerena on what Pistorius said to his friend, Darren Fresco.

"Darren took the blame." - Lerena.

"The bill was paid and we left. I never spoke about it again." - Lerena.
