Johannesburg - Delegates wearing red tracksuits sang as they made their way to Cosatu's 11th national conference on Monday.

Buses arrived at Gallagher Estate in Midrand, Johannesburg, to drop off delegates attending the four-day conference.

Cosatu president S'dumo Dlamini, President Jacob Zuma, and SA Communist Party general secretary Blade Nzimande were expected to address delegates on Monday.

This conference was expected to discuss a minimum wage and its relationship with the ANC in the run up to the party's elective conference in Mangaung. It would also review strike processes and elect new leaders.

Why don't they call it what it really is. 4 Days of no work and endless buffets and coffee all at expense of the working class union members.

Free drinks, eats hotel bills and more and more of the same old lip service all at the expense of the members, and for what? To hear that they are to discuss minimum wage increases, the very notion of this, in reality, forces CASATU UNION members into constant stagnated economic imprisonment. While the delegates sing the workers suffer, how bazaar.
