FF Plus takes minority worries to UN

2014-11-26 18:46

Johannesburg - The reopening of the land claims process and concerns about farm attacks in South Africa were among issues presented to the UN Human Rights Commission Forum in Geneva, Switzerland, on Wednesday, the FF Plus said.

FF Plus leader Pieter Mulder said the commission's theme for the year was "Preventing and addressing violence and atrocities targeted against minorities".

"It, therefore, joins up perfectly with the message of the FF Plus about the fate of minorities in South Africa," he said in a statement.

The FF Plus would make four presentations to the UN forum on the topics of farm attacks, land claims, affirmative action and what it called the "dismantling of Afrikaans".

On farm attacks, the FF Plus asked for help to address and prevent further attacks on farmers and farm workers, which the minority political party claimed amounted to "genocide".

It urged the forum to "recommend that the UN general secretary initiates a full investigation to pressurise the SA government to immediately implement effective measures to put an end to these atrocities".

The FF Plus also told the forum that the re-opening of land claims in South Africa threatened food security, economic growth, and the prosperity to the entire South African nation.

"The ideological political propaganda which seeks to bolster emotional support relies on the misleading myth that based on Histo-Geo-Political facts the white farmers stole the land from black people which is vehemently rejected with the contempt it deserves."

On affirmative action, "our request is that this forum... takes serious note of the attempts by the present South African government to absolutely exclude Afrikaners in South Africa from freely participating in economic activities in the country since 1994".

They submit that Afrikaners are a strategic minority contributing to job creation, economic growth and prosperity for the good of the whole of South Africa.

The FF Plus also submitted a presentation in which it claimed that the South African government was trying to "dilute and eventually eradicate Afrikaans-language mother-tongue education for Afrikaans speakers".

My mum is a domestic worker at Fourways San Raphael suburbs, she was on her way Fourways Garden but she had a terrible toothache, this other white guy was driving and noticed that she is not well. He took her to his surgery and removed the tooth free of charge. He has a surgery at Garden. The thing is, this is the human being who saw another human being and treated her as such. There are racists but there are human being. U choose were to belong

      Neville Watson - 2014-11-27 08:13

A lovely comment. I would love to know who that doctor was so that I can support him/her.

      Dirk Jacobs - 2014-11-27 09:18

Amen brother. I am white and the other day the black gentlemen working at my complex saw that my wife forgot the keys in the front door. He then locked the door and kept the keys till we got back from work and gave it to us. I awarded this man for his' honesty and will most certainly be asking for a bonus for him at the next AGM. He is worth spending money on, just as any honest white guy. We need to spend this countries resources on deserving individuals that want to work, be honest and build SA.

      Lourens Campher - 2014-12-02 14:17

One swallow does not make a summer and the ANC could have made this country one of the best in the world and have dismally failed with their hidden racist AA and BEE plus their agenda of trying to destroy life for minority groups which is going to backfire on them just as the racist NP experienced !!!!

  • Jamblik Bartlowitz - 2014-11-26 19:00

Thula, you and your nation are the rasists. Nothing is being done about all the whites being killed by your nation, so shut up, fool.

  • Joe Hall - 2014-11-26 19:02

Hehe the FF minus is trying to create fear into their supporters again. Luckily very few white people support them. Get a life and stop complaining. The strongest will survive, you starting to sound like all these other races, sexes and religions that are constantly complaining about everything and how everyone is oppressing you. Always someone elses fault.

      Joe Hall - 2014-11-26 19:22

Nicky my doll, dont you read the newspapers. We get our food from Israel.

      Nico de Jongh - 2014-11-26 19:50

The strongest will survive whether you have brains or not, but to live civilized i.e. in comfort need more brain power than you will ever fathom.. muscle power versus brain power.. think again or try to.

      Henk Els - 2014-11-26 20:16

Joe, I've got only one thing to say to you : Djou hol ok ne

      Chris Du Toit - 2014-11-26 22:07

Yes joe, complain like the non whites do, "ooh they took our land", "ooh i want more money", "ooh i dont want to work", "ooh the whites are so racist", "ooh the whites are oppressing us". It is in fact not the strongest that survive, it is the smartest. So lucky for us, we just need to ride this one out.

      C'est moi - 2014-11-27 09:22

I am so glad this was has been aired on a world forum - We, as a minority group, cannot move higher up on Genocide Watch Scale than we already are - All the drama in the rest of the world has sort of overshadowed the big problems that South Africa might be heading towards, especially if the EFF gains too much ground. - NOW let me give you a little story which I know most people will not understand - "Lions, I am afraid of lions, please do not put me into a lions cage - I know how dangerous they are and I fear they might kill me - However if I ever saw a lion being mistreated I will jump in single-handed to protect and defend it."

      William Steven Pearson - 2014-11-28 06:16

They hate us, yet want everything we have created. How do you teach someone to be there own person?

      Theo Marx - 2014-12-02 14:01

Until one day it happens to you... Then you'll sing the same tune my frined.

  • Bradly Minnaar - 2014-11-26 19:09

Yes please these farm murders are enough now.

  • Stoffel Knoffel - 2014-11-26 19:17

For how long will comments remain open on this thread ? N24's masters , the cANCer , will shut it down soon . Anyway , the UN is useless and would side with these corrupt african nationalists !

  • Rendani Nemavhidi - 2014-11-26 19:18

Blacks are not affected by farm attacks for the simple reason that they don't own farms. Whites are affected simply because they own farm not because they are whites. Criminals don't care about where the money comes from they just want to steal. Crime affects everyone we just buried Senzo. Why should FF waste the time of the UN? Sounds like an appeal against the end of Apartheid where certain people should get special treatment. Perhaps blacks should go to the UN that they are ones staying in informal settlements and townships, own less than 10 percent of the economy etc.

      Henk Els - 2014-11-26 20:21

Motebang, you mean more equal than others like your prezzie, King Showahead and his not so illustrious cadres?

      Pieternella VandeKaap - 2014-11-27 11:25

Disgusting hey, Renandi, that whites actually believe they deserve special treatment like safety in their homes and protection against murder! Have you taken any cognisance of the level of violence during these farm attacks? Or are you too comfortable in your ivory tower to worry about despicable whites being tortured to death? However, I do agree on one point: Yes, perhaps blacks should go the the UN that their thief-president is so busy stealing the coffers empty that there is no economy left to speak of. But oh, I forgot. You blame the whites for that also, hey?

  • Khule Dlamini - 2014-11-26 19:23

Amazing!!!! Does anyone remember Mnr Botha saying "adapt or die"?

      cliff001 - 2014-11-26 20:45

      Actually that was Pieter Dirk-UYS

      C'est moi - 2014-11-27 10:27

      Khule you are dead right - Mr Botha DID say Adapt or Die - Our beloved ambassadress to Bapetikosweti Mrs Bezuidenhout (nee Poggenpoel) said Adapt or Dye (Which reminds me I must do something about my gray hair}

  • Dillighted - 2014-11-26 19:27

    @rendani You nailed it.

  • Mashudu Busta - 2014-11-26 19:27

I only support the Land claims argument. Most black people can't do this farming thing as much as White Afrikaners. But the land that is not being used in a fruitfully should be shared. On Affirmative action, FF Plus should just sit down and stop talking nonsense. How many white people are unemployed in this country as compared to black people, how many of the high earners are white people? Let's all share South African wealth with no one wanting to be superior and we will all leave peacefully.

      Justin Slabert - 2014-11-27 11:57

If you want to make a valid argument then check your stats. White people have jobs because they are willing to work and not strike every year and are a bit more educated because they finished school but if you take a closer look you will see that Africans hold the most wealth in the country at the moment. You just dont see it because you are blinded by the ANC's propoganda, they want you to believe whites still rule this country money-wise when actually they are.. a Little slide of hand my friend.

  • Mpho Mabote - 2014-11-26 19:27

Headline should read"FF Plus takes white Afrikaner worries to UN".

  • Neliswa Skenjana Breiter - 2014-11-26 19:29

Hope the UN ignores them ...

      Dirk Engelbrecht - 2014-11-26 20:19

And I hope you drive into a bridge...

      William Steven Pearson - 2014-11-28 06:10

Shame you have not seen the UN have you, its majority white. Newflash.

  • Rendani Nemavhidi - 2014-11-26 19:30

In other words the FF's case sounds like: ' I want whites to be the only ones to own the farms but when there is an attack on the farm I want blacks to also suffer the pain even though they don't own the farms'.

      William Steven Pearson - 2014-11-28 06:09

Can u read??? Oh no wait Why did i ask that? Of corse u cant.

  • Thuso Songrey Rootsman - 2014-11-26 19:35

Are afrikaners the only minority group in SA? Or you are simply advocating for something else here, because its all about afrikaner this and afrikaner that and what next? Afrikaner Republic?

  • Shireen Eva - 2014-11-26 19:43

Whites are only 4 million of the 50+ million in this country! Blacks have 40+million people to take initiative and do things for themselves. Heck, they even have AA and BEE to help them along!! So you tell me where the problem lies??

      Neliswa Skenjana Breiter - 2014-11-26 19:47

Yes AA and BEE to correct the ugly inequalities any atrocities of Apartheid. Remember Apartheid?? Where black people were treated worse than animals.. Why Afrikaners don't want to own up to this?

      Motebang Mtb Mokoena - 2014-11-26 20:05

How long was apartheid in place?

      Luwie Ludah - 2014-11-26 20:26

Whites must jus learn 2 share wit blacks n not run 2 da UN n complain everytym period

      Hardcaw Pawn - 2014-11-26 20:30

@ luwie- this has nothing to to with the da you fool.

      John Smith - 2014-11-27 07:52

Apartheid is still in place. it is now financial apartheid and a select few ANC cadres has separated themselves from the rest financially.

  • sthembize.zulu - 2014-11-26 19:53

I am pretty sure the UN has not forgotten about the infamous 'crime against humanity.'

      Neliswa Skenjana Breiter - 2014-11-26 19:57

Yes the Apartheid is still fresh on their mind so I doubt they will listen to some nonsensical claims from Afrikaners

  • Lungisa Mangi Dlamini - 2014-11-26 20:15

can't the anc, give thise people a big provice like the Northen Cape, where they can governmen themselves. Im tired of hearing them whinning all the time, as if the world revolves around them. The UN has better things to do.

      Charles Roberts - 2014-11-26 21:01

That is a superb idea mr dlamini .do you think the anc would do such a thing? An afrikaner homeland? I doudt if they have the balls to do it.

      joe.ma.39108 - 2014-11-26 21:48

Lungisa, whites already tried it with the homelands and called it apartheid (seperation), it didn't work.

      Charles Roberts - 2014-11-26 22:08

Let's try it one more time joe, this time with the afrikaner in a homeland , governed by themselves and left in peace . That will put the ball in their court wouldn't it?

      Neville Watson - 2014-11-27 08:20

I am sure they would take it and make a success of it.

      sthembize.zulu - 2014-11-27 15:21

Put them in a dry mineral deficient homeland; build substandard schools for them, no services; then let's see... Sort of like Trading Places, the movie

  • Derek Chapman - 2014-11-26 20:17

Nice to pass comments from overseas isn't it?

  • Hardcaw Pawn - 2014-11-26 20:29

Someone needs to explain the true meaning of genocide to the ff+

      joe.ma.39108 - 2014-11-26 21:45

Hardcaw, maybe you should google the true meaning of genocide.

  • David Allcock - 2014-11-26 20:30

    f the ff...f the un...f the afrikasners...f the english...f the blacks...f the anc...f the indians..f the chinese...f you all....i will survive despite you all...or ill die trying........

  • Makhokolotso Mk Nkeane - 2014-11-26 20:33

I dont like that party but Nice move, it's completely within their rights to do so, well organised and civilised. They didn't throw tantrums and break things like wild animals...and yes, pun intended.

  • Mbongeni Dlamini - 2014-11-26 20:36

farm attacks. people have been killed in location daily so what is so special for them.

      joe.ma.39108 - 2014-11-26 21:21

Mbongeni, murder of any kind is a concern, but what highlights farm murders is the brutality and pure hatred show towards the victoms. They are often tortured before they are killed. Just google the topic. They are also often old and vulnerable pleople. I suppose it could in a way be compared to assaulting a woman is somehow worst then assaulting a man. Assaulting anyone is wrong.

  • Thabisile Ndlovu - 2014-11-26 20:41

Lets hope the UN will take u seriously FFP

  • Jabulani Gumbi - 2014-11-26 20:49

The UN must remained the FF Plus that we must share the land and live site by site. Viva ANC.

      coenraad.vaneeden.5 - 2014-11-26 21:00

My man that chip is sinking

  • Zolani Shinya - 2014-11-26 21:58

What FFP is doing is pure nonsense. Who is not affected by crime in South Africa? How many people die everyday in this country because of crime black and white? Is it only Afrikaners who are affected by crime in this country? UN shouldn't even pay mind to FFP becouse they're bunch of selfish, spiteful and racist individuals. Land has to be distributed in SA. To fight poverty and crime we have to ensure the participation of all South Africans in the economy of this country. White South Africans took land by force that is a fact, it's not propaganda. We have to work together black and white to correct the injustices of the past. It's not gonna be a smooth sailing, we will face challenges, corruption, racism, intolerance but we have to work thru them together. I promise you as long as the majority of South Africans are systematically sidelined from economic participation, this country is gonna have problems.

  • Nkululeko Lecko Dube - 2014-11-26 22:01

The man is right, he previously demonstrated for Mandela's release and reported PW Botha to the UN......... Not

  • johan.nel.712 - 2014-11-26 22:28

Although I disagree with your political ideology you're at least busy with politics and not just criticizing other parties

  • George Galbraith - 2014-11-26 23:05

I broadly agree with what Pieter Mulder is doing, given the deceitful manipulation of White affairs and its withdrawal of our rights as citizens. What is portended and worse, is the planned seizure of Whites resources & property - a populist and suicidal move! My concern lies in his limiting of some of his presentation to Afrikaners only, where there is no reason to discriminate within the minorities. Particularly here, I refer to his point about excluding Afrikaners from participating in the economy. In this (external) forum, party politics should not hold sway. Is this deliberate? If so, he is not conveying the full, truthful picture. Am I to restrict my current activism against farmer genocide to English only now? Kom boet, wys eendrag.

  • Shirley Deysel - 2014-11-26 23:29

Tula you are the biggest racist!!!! Because the ANC is make such a mess up of this country you are trying to say we racist. At least someone is concerned about the country. What has been achieved in 20 years.... Power outages, Crime has escalated, Unemployment and Standard of service in government depts are sub standard as idiots with no education have been given those positions. People taking money that doesn't belong to them because the think they entitled to it. This is the truth and the sooner everyone opens their eyes and says enough is enough nothing will change.

  • Steven Adamson - 2014-11-27 06:51

My support for the FF. Minorities not protected. We should follow USA example White only TV White only entertainment awards White only management forum White only sports team White only pressure groups 10% are Cabinet ministers White only Nkandla etc

  • Joshua Kgorutle - 2014-11-27 07:47

    Will that help? hhhhmmmmm?

  • Gaston Rabellini - 2014-11-27 08:21

These comments are disgusting. Our politics are disgusting, this country is just disgusting. People celebrating the death of other people without an ounce of remorse. Everyones fighting over everything, everyone hates the other race and blames them for all thats wrong in the world. So depressing to read these comments. Its as if the devil is commenting here. So sick.

  • Thabo Masemola - 2014-11-27 08:36

Privileged few will do their darndest to maintain their privilege. Some sorry snobs seek and find solace in rubbishing the country at all times. They whine that the country is now worse off. Of course it is. Their privileged past is gone.

  • Carla Kennedy - 2014-11-27 08:46

@Thula. Why do you care, you're not part of the minority. Before you make another stupid ass statement like this...just remember, you're not part of the minority that have to pay tax!! You probably live off the welfare that wouldn't be available to you was is not for the minority working their asses off! So, we (the minority) have the right to try and ensure our future and the future of our country. If you're not a tax payer then you're not part of the minority! So why don't you get off your ass and do something productive with your time, instead of posting statements like this.

  • Lunetic Mental - 2014-11-27 09:43

GO GET THEM FF PLUS!!! THIS RACISTS cANCer IS DESTROYING THE COUNTRY...ITS ALREADY A BANANA REPUBLIC, THAT ITS DROPPING FURTHER TO THE ZIMBABWE LEVEL

  • Mike TheoneAndonly Meets - 2014-11-27 09:45

Lol black people always play/cry the victims... but once white people do it they get upset lol funny... they just take and take and take till there is nothing left... they will rather murder, rape and steal till there is nothing left than have the thought of a nother apartheid that gave them jobs, food and safe conditions to live in and raise a family... get it in our heads any form of apartheid is dead and will never ever be brought back but voting smart like the DA u will see a change for the best for whites blacks indians ens in this country yet they like the crime of that the ANC is giving them.

  • Karol Joszkowski - 2014-11-27 12:20

Ironically today America celebrate Thanks Giving - which in a way commemorates European settlers stealing indigenous American Indian land.

  • Richard Ellerbeck - 2014-11-27 13:15

About a third of these comments all include some reference to Apartheid, which aside from providing a historical context is completely irrelevant. The issue of farmer safety extends beyond the individuals on the farm, it is a matter of national food security, who will continue to be farmer if they feel their lives and the lives of their family are under constant threat. Its simple people, all the FF Plus is asking is that the government take some form of action to implement a plan to prevent the rise of such farm attacks, as they are potentially crippling to the entire countries economy. Yet the majority of all commentators on this stream, from both sides of the racial divide, allow thier fickle bigoted mindsets to warp a legitimate issue into yet another racial spat. Really people? it would be so refreshing to read some rational non emotive discussion on a legitimate concern that could potentially negatively impact all of us. It has become quite clear that the ruling party has offered little in the way of solutions to this problem and many others. It is time we had a change of leadership, i am not saying who, quite frankly at this stage i would be satisfied with any political party that isnt incompetent and defends an idiot of a present like Zuma, because if they continue to support him they clearly do not have the interests of the nation at heart.

  • Louise Cook - 2014-12-02 15:10

"exclude Afrikaners from freely participating in economic activities" It's absurd - Afrikaners have their own businesses, they're the biggest group of owners of franchises like supermarkets - in short, look around you! Afrikaners doing very well for themselves in fact. I respect much of what the FF does but this statement is absurd!

  • Thabo Letuka - 2015-01-28 09:03

This is insane,,everywhere the white man goes he brings misery. Look at history no one has been able to co-exist with him and yes you did steal our land ,raped our sisters killed our fathers and you expect us to forgive and forget. Madiba is no more and he is gone with his illusion of a Rainbow nation. We will rise and take what rightfully belongs to us .RAAAALUTE!!!!!
