IFP backs Gauteng matrics to do well

Johannesburg - Matric pupils in Gauteng will do well in the final exams, the IFP predicted on Thursday.

"We are confident and optimistic that Gauteng pupils will contribute to the 70% pass rate target set by the department," it said in a statement.

The Inkatha Freedom Party said it was encouraged by efforts made by the provincial department to set up camps and hire specialist teachers to help pupils.

"We would like to caution pupils not to become complacent with the work done in camps, but to also go even beyond in preparing themselves."

"We wish them well."

    Based on what?

KZN was one of the top performing in terms of pass rates in the 1990s. Upon auditing it was found that those rates were tampered with. Now I am thinking that are they going to manipulate other provinces results (IFP) to gain credibility?

I am happy to hear that - we want our children to do well. But what about the poor children especially in Limpopo and Eastern Cape. Spare a thought for them:-(

Politicians always want to score points on every opportunity. What I know is that IFP is centered in KZN. What else now???

Why do members of political parties feel the need to comment on high school education, when they don't have one.

How would they have the slightest clue?

Sigh! Where are the days when school merit achievements were as simple as just studying very hard to get where you wanted to in life!
