Julius Malema admitted to hospital

2011-10-05 15:41

Johannesburg - ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema has been admitted to a private hospital in Polokwane, the SABC reported on Wednesday.

He was suffering from "flu symptoms", said the broadcaster.

Malema briefed his lawyers and said he would not be attending his African National Congress disciplinary hearing in Johannesburg on Thursday.

Malema, league spokesperson Floyd Shivambu, secretary general Sindiso Magaqa, deputy president Ronald Lamola, treasurer general Pule Mabe, and deputy secretary general Kenetswe Mosenogi face several charges.

These were brought after comments the ANCYL would help bring about regime change in Botswana.

They apologised to the ANC for the statement and withdrew their statement.

The six were also accused of sowing divisions within the ranks of the ANC.

Why not a public hospital for the king of the Poor?

      THE-SRG - 2011-10-05 16:31

Better the vet...they know how to treat swine flu there

      Phaedioux - 2011-10-05 16:31

He probably owns shares in the hospital.

      MrSpiderman - 2011-10-05 16:41

Oh S!it! He's having another kid with an investment fund??? Bet this "hospital" has a bunker in the basement!?! Now go and take a shower and don't forget to wipe your lips!!!!!!!!

      WoodworkPh.D - 2011-10-05 17:01

The Madam is healthy and not part of the rotten ANC who force bad public hospitals down, thats why

      mba - 2011-10-05 17:02

@ Ngqeku the difference is she is not calling for nationalization like your fat woodwork dropout. Why is he not in a nationalized hospital? I thought he was poor - he's said it enough times so how does he afford it?

      Shees - 2011-10-05 17:27

      good point

      Persona_non_grata - 2011-10-06 07:54

It is amazing how all these ANC and corrupt people like Shaik and Celebe falls ill and is admitted to hospital just before sentence date or just before they must carry out their sentences. Eish must be a horrible worrying stomach bug, that makes their behind like a open tap, it happens when you worry to much and you know you are wrong and are accused.

      Theoniel Bosman - 2011-10-06 07:55

For someone who hates the Westerners, he love's our Private Hospitals...ha ha ha...double standards Such a pity…

      Gazza69 - 2011-10-06 08:58

Just take a shower and have some beetroot fat boy..........

      AllHoliday - 2011-10-06 09:37

Agree Pixie1984, how about sticking to his heritage??? Why go to a private 'westerner' hospital. What happened to the sangomas??? @qjay, you must read slowly and try to comprehend what you are reading - no one is 'whishing' him ill, he is pretending to be ill to postpone his sentencing. Who go to hospital with the flue??? If you take your head out and breathe in some fresh air, you might just get it. We just do not fall for that one! You on the other hand sound pretty judgemental for someone who is 'preaching' to others.

      Persona_non_grata - 2011-10-06 09:38

The falling ill club of South Africa. Shabir Shaik, Bheki Cele, Julius Malema next one will be Sheryl Cwele, amazingly mysterious how all of them falls ill during court sentences or before the must carry out their sentences...............

      REALIST - 2011-10-06 10:38

  • GetitRight - 2011-10-05 15:54

@ZUMA... Dear Mr. President. My advice to you is to simply do what was done in save yourself cut a deal with that "CLEVER MAN" Mbeki and you must nominate Mbeki to be the next President. The Wolves are at your door and they are circling you for THE KILL. Think outside the box....maybe you can still retain the Deputy President role if you follow my THE WOLVES are scared of that "CLEVER MAN" and used you to get rid of him. In this way you will show THE WOLVES your little finger and that you do know how to play the survival game. This can be your "umshini wami".....that you can use on your political opponents.

      arjenf - 2011-10-05 16:26

      and the relevance is what??

      Christelle - 2011-10-05 16:46

@GetitRight - please try and "get it right" - what does this have to do with the article? Unless of course the wolves you are referring to are the little ones in his(Zuma's) pack with the leader of the little ones being called Julius?

      GetitRight - 2011-10-05 19:46

@Christelle...Dear, please try to understand or see the bigger picture. I know you find it difficult but try...OK.

      Christelle - 2011-10-05 20:23

@getitright - dear, cannot see the bigger picture - too many fat cats blocking the view!

Why can't he go to a "people's hospital, (ie one where he can share a ward with 60 other coughing dying people and use a bathroom last renovated in 1950) and have "people's" medicine (ie panado), and be attended to by "people's nurses - ie ones more interestred n their tea break and cellphone conversations than their patients. After all, he is one of us, isn't he??? Silly me, I forgot - when we get flu we drag ourselves to work because we are accountable to our customers. Imagine if we all took every cough to the private hospital. Hopefully he has something REALLY terminal(as opposed to Schabir Shaik "terminal")
