Malema ridicules Zuma as 'shower man'

2011-12-18 14:20

Johannesburg - Suspended ANC Youth League president Julius Malema joined in songs that ridiculed President Jacob Zuma at the ANC's Limpopo conference - labelling him the "shower man" in reference to his 2006 rape trial, according to the Sunday Times.

Supporters of Malema ally, premier Cassel Mathale, fighting to retain his position as the party's provincial chairman, sang "showara wa re sokodisa" (the shower man is giving us a hard time).

Malema sat on stage and "fervently joined in the singing, holding his hand over his head to symbolise a shower head" the newspaper reported.

The song was in reference to Zuma's 2006 rape trial in which he told the Johannesburg high court that he had a shower after having unprotected sex with his HIV-positive accuser. Zuma was found not guilty.

The shower image was created by cartoonist Zapiro who is being sued by Zuma for R5m after he depicted Zuma with a shower growing out of his head during and after the trial.

Malema is currently appealing a five-year suspension from the youth league after he was found to have brought the party into disrepute.

Um...was he not the man that said he would "mobilise" the ANCYL to stand and defend their PRESIDENT and was he not the one that said the woman remained over night with Zuma so, she must have enjoyed a complete 180...Julius is just a spoilt brat that is burning his bridges as he goes along....and intelligence is DEFINITELY NOT his strong point...being an idiot is....

      rbczovczov - 2011-12-18 14:35

Confused RETARD. Only yesterday he was singing about killing for Zuma and today he wants to kill Zuma. Sit down master of flip flop.

      Jack - 2011-12-18 15:06

The mentality of our leaders can be compared to the same practice of name calling by nursery school children. What an embarrassment.

      Mlungisi - 2011-12-18 15:09

Jacob zuma might not be my favorite person because I feel he lacks presidential character, but Malema is somewhere between that stuff u wipe off the bottom of your shoes when u been walking in mud of maybe the mud itself, he is someone that is out for himself and does not deserve to be a part of what the TRUE ANC stands for, so sad what it has been whittled down too

      Spyker - 2011-12-18 15:11

I think we should start a website, where people would nominate individuals who are even denser than those, who are still voting for the ANC. Visitors to the website will then vote for.., "...The most celebrated person who is even dafter than somebody who votes for the ANC..." Once a year a trophy and prizes would be awarded to the individual who received the most votes - i.o.w. 'the most celebrated person who is even dafter than somebody who votes for the ANC'. This person will receive the a special GOLDEN TODDLER'S DUMMY made from cheap poisonous Chinese materials, a special black, yellow and green BIB with an inscription that says "I STORMED LUTHULI HOUSE" and finally, the 'FOOLS ANONYMOUS CUP' or more commonly known as the 'FACUP'.

      The Real Unskinny - 2011-12-18 15:14

      Malema = post turtle.

Nice one, Jack ... ... nursery school children do wear nappies ... these kids don't ... ns children make big (pleasant) noises ... these make unpleasant noises ... ns children boast their mud feet and & dirty laundry to prove that they had a v good day (at the office) --> these kids throw mud at others to prove their own squeaky clean bums and of course ... ns children today are oblivious that these old 'big' kids are creating problems that today's nursery school children will have to solve when they are 'big'

To the tune of Mfana Malema, Jesus loves you, Malema, Your mother loves you, Malema, Your father loves, Repent, Manpara, repent, Repent, Ignorant, repent, Repent, Negligent, repent, Repent, Liar, repent, Repent, Thief, repent, Repent, Baby Killer, repent, Repent, Genocider, repent! Okai, stop the bus, how can you say all that? Lets have a look: Malema is Ignorant that the Failed Communist Countries like the USSR, China, Vietnam, Cuba, etc, employed Central Control Economies ( CCE ), with full and total nationalisation. Negligent - as the head of an organization, it is his duty to be fully informed of the economic history of total disasters of CCE. He does not know that Gorbachov announced reforms away from nationalization – in the early 1980’s! He is a Liar, because these are not his ideas, these ideas have been around for over 100 years. Thief, he has stolen the PEOPLES money – that is how bribery and corruption works. Baby Killer, as a member of the ANC – Abortion Murder Genocide, is guilty of the Genocide of 800 000 black babies in government hospitals! Genocider, as a member of the ANC – Abortion Murder Genocide, is guilty of the Genocide of 5 Million Aids sufferers which were refused medication. Repent, Manpara, Repent!

      J-Man - 2011-12-19 09:20

I'm not surprised at all. Malema always has been nothing but a puppet on a string with the I.Q. of a Tennis-ball, and always will be. I just hope his "supporters" now see him for what he is/was: a idiot who cares about no-one but himself. And if they don't, well...shame.

      Sharkshoot - 2011-12-19 09:31

..and the world laughs. These illiterate cretins have unlimited access to our money and spend it like water. This country is screwed and we're all going down with it. Such a waste of my 1992 Referendum vote.

      Ian - 2011-12-19 10:21

Trevor, Malema being an idiot is not what worries me most, its the fact that he ACTUALLY has a support base - Thats f*cking scary man! How can such an imbecile have such a large group of supporters? <--- How does that reflect our Nation? This country is turning into a scary place to live in...

  • Ibhubesi - 2011-12-18 14:31

"We will die for Zuma" His words, not mine.

      Terry - 2011-12-18 15:10

      I wish he would!

      Ian - 2011-12-19 10:31

Ibhubesi - In a way he is still garnering support for Zuma... For example: If Zuma does completely obliterate Malema(politically) it would potentially gain Zuma support from the "more educated" population in the country. It may swing the votes of people who were judging Zuma towards supporting him because, in the end, he did the right thing. Now mabe I'm just a little paranoid, but the WHOLE Malema affair might have been orchestrated in order to portray Zuma in a better light to the "more educated" persona in RSA - in a hope to sway votes towards Zuma from the lower-middle classes of society. Its just a thought, I may be right, I may be wrong. But I try to take ANYTHING ANC related with a pinch of salt - They are crafty and greedy, which is always a dangerous combination.

  • Peter - 2011-12-18 14:32

Its a sad state of affairs that we can see they are destroying themselves, but when push comes to the shove your average joe out on the street is still going to vote ANC. How does one go about informing the general populace that their saviours are actually villains? At the end of the day its education, education stopped Apartheid, and education of the masses will stop the ANC. #tiredofdoingnothing

  • Zandile Matshidiso Nkosi - 2011-12-18 14:52

Malema is a joke. Zuma was his man, claiming that he would "kill for Zuma" and now because Zuma is trying to reign him in, Zuma is the enemy. The ANC is to blame for this mess, Malema was their tool in ousting Mbeki. They created this monster and now are struggling to control him. I mean, isn't he meant to be suspended. Yet he continues to defy them and shows up at ANC rallies. As soon as the president doesn't tow the line, he must be kicked out. Wouldn't be surprised if Zuma gets recalled before finishing his term. Malema was given far too much power and now he can do whatever, whenever with no consequences. He has no respect for anyone. I shudder to think where South Africa will end up with Malema as president.

      Hunter - 2011-12-18 15:28

Yes, Zandile, and 20 years ago the ANC machinery would have gotten rid of him, and if they played their cards right, would have been able to tag it on the old government's war effort. The swapo party did it very well and ensured that Nujoma stayed president till Namibian indipendence. Now they have to fall into the rule of law...let's hope they stick to the law.

      Shoe - 2011-12-18 18:15

  • glen.e.huysamer - 2011-12-18 14:53

Crazy that in the centre of South African politics is a shower head, it is laughable, but is it funny? The actions of many ANC members are just totally out of line and it is furthering a child like disobedience. Tasteless and smacking of anarchy. It serves to allow the gat way for hoodlums to continue to rule the corridors of government by people bent on pillaging South Africa into bankruptcy. The issue here is the influence that our most Northern province has via the Mugabe instutute, and the influx of cross border tribal connections begin to filter unknowingly into South African politics. Let South Africa be wary of the anarchy growing in our Limpopo province and best we nip it in the bud. If Malema was suspended why was he there, should his supporters not also be suspended. Seems as if the ANC is out of control, thanks to Malema, they have become a joke, all good for the opposition though.

      Hunter - 2011-12-18 15:32

Maybe good for the opposition, but really not good for the country - you are correct about it smacking of anarchy. We just have to look north to see what we are heading for if they cannot get control over the anarchy.

  • Moss - 2011-12-18 14:55

  • HendrikAfrika - 2011-12-18 14:56

This man is pulling out all stops to be the countries next president. He has nothing to loose if Zuma objects to the song and a lot to gain in support if it seems that Zuma can't do anything against him even within the party ranks. He is also showing his loyalty to his fellow comrade Cassel.

  • Pixie86 - 2011-12-18 14:56

  • Geronimo - 2011-12-18 14:58

It fills me with such joy to see the cANCer tearing itself apart from within. This can only be a good thing for democracy in SA... just a pity the main protagonists aren't a little more mature...

      Geronimo - 2011-12-18 14:58

      ...and intelligent...

@ Bob that is why they cant circumsize him

      Norah - 2011-12-19 10:00

democracy in SA? let me refresh your obviously faulty memory: democracy was heralded into SA by the ANC government in 1994 deah!

      Geronimo - 2011-12-19 11:38

@Norah. A one party state where the vast majority of the population feel as though they owe the cANCer a life debt vote is no true democracy though. SA's democracy is very immature for now... a viable black opposition is desperately needed to keep our fledgling democracy ticking along soundly. For the moment, why should the cANCer care about service delivery failure and broken promises? Who is going to boot them out of government? They have excuses ready (Apartheid and the white man) which the majority will lap up like sweet milk, unquestioningly, whilst the fat cats you have voted in get richer at your expense. Do you think more broken promises and failed service delivery is best for the country? Ahhhhh, now you get it Norah!

Terry 80% of them dont know. Most have no contact with the news. Some cant read. In the circumstances I dont blame them. All they know is when a politician visits them and make promises and warn them about the wrath of te forefathers. I wish I could change that but can not think of a way.

I wouldn't want to go around carrying a passport, being forced out of my home, being kidnapped in the middle of the night never to be heard from again. I suppose this current devil is ten times way better than the apartheid government!!! PS the reason some of them are not educated is because the previous government made sure they were illiterate. Admit it, the previous government didnt work and neither is this one and don't try to convince me zille can do better.

If there is anyone who real believe Malema is the key to unplug Black Africans from the social ills of the past they will live to regret that for the rest of their lives. Malema is Mugabe in making with an F symbol in wood work. He is stinking rich from tender kickback but he sing the song of a poor men to appeal to the souls of those still traped in poverty. Unless intellectual we embrass revolution as Africans we will be falling in the deep holes like what our brother s who got their independence before us. We have a problem and a country with a population of over 50 millions are led down a dark hole by loud tins that claim to be leaders.

I am sorry, but why the hell would you WANT to follow someone who isn't educated? @Nkosinathi - good post! thumbs up! as for Nape.... education is a choice now, you can choose it!

  • Nkosinathi - 2011-12-18 15:35

      Ben - 2011-12-18 15:45

right. And voters should be educated. Most of them are good people who just dont know.

      Jonathan - 2011-12-18 16:57

Australia is number one in the world for burglaries and number two for over all crime. Sweden is second in the world for rapes, Canada is third and Australia is forth and the UK is fifth. Most European countries are nearly bankrupt and are now pleading for "developing" countries to bail them out. Russian is number one in cyber crime. The whites here are convinced that the western countries are utopias. I often wonder why whites who find the ANC or SA so intolerable do not emigrate to a western country of their choice.
