NYDA may purge Malema pals

Johannesburg - Allies of expelled ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema may be ousted from the National Youth Development Agency's board, the Sunday Times reported.

The board's term of office would expire at the end of May. Nominations for board members closed at the end of March.

NYDA chair Andile Lungisa, CEO Steven Ngubeni, and chief operations officer Magdalene Moonsamy, all Malema supporters, were expected to be removed from the board, the paper reported. In total, 23 candidates had been shortlisted for the board.

But names of Zuma supporters could be added to this list, according to the weekly. There were seven seats on the board.

ANCYL spokesperson Magdalene Moonsamy referred queries to the NYDA, who in turn referred queries to Lungisa, who was not available for comment.

So, it's now official: They were all ANC cronies~! What, if any, contribution did they make towards alleviating the plight of the young people of this country? If they have done so consistently and with good results then they should continue to serve on the board. But ZUMA politics, like nazism, doesn't work that way, or does. Zuma's ANC is like the 11th plague which started in Egypt ages ago and now reaching RSA. Zuma IS a f*cking dictator in the mould of Hitler! Of course! Nothing different except the 6 wifes and no inkling at all of Der Ring festival at Bayreuth which...ahem...horror!...sets Hitler slightly apart from the ANC illiterates. This cronyism, this corruption and sleeze, this blatant screwing of the young and poor people fo this country, is not what we voted for in 1994. No, no, no! So, where are you, Madiba? Are you listening to this? Is this what you represented?.. Is this what we voted for in 1994? Arch? Are you listening? Please, please, just talk to us once more...!!!

Mandela's nothing but a mascot. He said repeatedly that the ANC is bigger than him, and he won't speak out against it or its leadership. He could have walked out of prison in 1985 if he had just renounced the armed struggle. He refused mostly because his superiors told him that he could get more international sympathy for the ANC if he stayed put 'rotting' in a cell and enduring 'torture' at the hands of the 'brutal' Nationalist regime. Man of courage and principles? Bah. Once a cowardly terrorist, always a cowardly terrorist.

Another joke we need basic services... not nonsense

A perfect example why nothing gets done in the ANC government. Continual shuffling of supporters to reinforce the political power base. Grow up ANC cadre appoint neutrals to important positions and the country will run better.

That is why this govt will never change the lives of our people. They appoint members of the ruling party in all govt institutions. It is now official that all NYDA 'bosses' are members of the ruling party. How many young professionals that r not interested in politics but capable... what is this NYDA doing for young people

What do all thes Boards and people do? Positions for illeterates i think. Time they all went back to school, or become maids and garden boys, as they have no brains for anything else.

      Lerato - 2012-04-30 06:54

Though I agree with you tht this organisation is just a lot of crap; but your maids and garden boy point is an insult. You are insinuating tht maids and garden boys are dumb, of which its not necessarily true. I have seen dumb CEOs, Chairmen, Premiers, Editors etc. So your job has got nothing to do with being dumb or not

      DuToitCoetzee - 2012-04-30 09:22

Lerato I agree with you, but I think Jim was just using the perception that there is world wide and hopefully just for illustration/explaining purposes. Agree, in a country with so many jobless it does not count.

"NYDA chair Andile Lungisa was expected to be removed from the board," Couldn't happen to a more suitable moron, Malema supporter or not!

Although the purging of people because they support a particular faction is totally wrong, perhaps the whole NYDA should be purged. They have achieved nothing and have cost us taxpayers a fortune: disband them.
