Ramaphosa studying ANCYL appeals

2011-11-25 13:04

Johannesburg - The ANC on Friday confirmed it had received documents for the appeals of its sanctioned youth league leaders.

The documents were received on Thursday night by party secretary general Gwede Mantashe's office and immediately handed over to Cyril Ramaphosa, chairperson of the ANC National Disciplinary Committee of Appeals (NDCA), spokesperson Jackson Mthembu said.

The statement comes after the ANCYL leaders' lawyer, Dali Mpofu, earlier on Friday confirmed that they had filed appeals.

Mthembu said that from now, the appeal would be handled by the NDCA until it was finalised.

Any communication on the process would be decided by the NDCA at intervals determined by the committee.

  • Marion - 2011-11-25 13:14

Cyril, I have faith in you.

      Impi - 2011-11-25 13:40

Thank you Marion. This is the spirit. He is no fool Mr. Ramaphosa and he doesn't tolerate fools either. But thank you for the positive comment. I have read enough acidic racial attacks this morning!

      procold2 - 2011-11-25 14:04

marion i agree with impi cyril is no fool and i think the latest ranting and ravings by juju arnt going to help, if it was me i would overturn the five years and ban him for good and let sars and the hawks have their fun with him

      nhamo.dzenyika - 2011-11-25 14:16

i am very sure Cyril will be linient towards the young guys. they deserve a second chance

      Theresa - 2011-11-25 14:28

@Nhamo..lenient towards the young guys? When I was 30 years old I was responsible for my own actions.Malema is old enough to know better. He deserves NO leniency.I hope he gets banned for life!

      Marion - 2011-11-25 15:30

@Impi... I would welcome Mr Ramaphosa as president of the Republic of South Africa with open arms. He is a man I truly respect.

      lynch - 2011-11-26 23:17

You guys shouldn't be worried about the outcome, you are not the members of the ANC.

  • Kobus - 2011-11-25 13:27

Its a no-brainer Mr Ramaphosa. Just hear how this Maaifoedie is shooting his mouth off. Before and even after his previous hearing. Ban him permanently instead of just 5 years.

  • Richy - 2011-11-25 13:31

Will see if you are coward Cyril.

  • Noa - 2011-11-25 13:33

Now how about increasing the suspensions to 7 and 5 years?

      Marion - 2011-11-25 16:43

Based on their behaviour since they were suspended I would be overjoyed to see him change the sanction to expulsion. I'm sure he must have power to do that. At least I hope he does.

  • lhenama - 2011-11-25 13:38

Owww ja, and Cyril is good friends with Tokyo one can wonder what the outcome would be on that, cos that Tokyo is in cahoots with this pig malema in ousting Zuma. I wouldn't be surprised if Tokyo will be running for presidency in the nxt term.

      Patrick - 2011-11-25 13:48

      well said Ihenama!

  • Nigel - 2011-11-25 16:52

if there is one leader that has integrity, it is Cyril, we hope that you do the right thing & ensure that this ill-dicipline is punished.

      Gwenzi - 2011-11-25 18:18

Doing the right about Cyril's review of the matter and it can go either way.Let Cyril does his work without you leading him on to your untrained previews tuned to your desired outcome. One of the reasons why apartheid was such a pain in the black asssses is because of whites like you who ever believed that the only justice for blacks is wrong justice that pleases whites. stuff that

  • braamc - 2011-11-25 18:07

Life long prison sentence rather? Daai dikgat bietjie gewig verloor, lucky he only had the flu

      Gwenzi - 2011-11-25 18:27

come to think of it Malema is right. Why is it that almost only the whites favour the worst outcome in his appeal

      Judith - 2011-11-27 09:12

@Gwenzi...that is a really dumb Question you have asked.....of course whites (and many educated blacks) want Malema to be gone politically because we have a lot to lose if his policies come to fruition. Melama is a "boy interrupted"... now he has been side-lined for his own stupidity. He talks about change in the ANC (and South Africa), but also numbs on about causing sedition in Botswana. He is a victim of his own stupidity. Do you really want a stupid person having a lot of influence in your country. Do you really want a clown used as a circus master?

ANCYL is still existing with the same membership who mandated the suspended committee, lets sit back and watch. The economic colonials are busy taking all the minerals out the country they will than allow the nationalization of the mines. That's why white people are so happy about the suspension.
