Register now for school next year: MEC

2012-08-01 22:17

Johannesburg - Limpopo Education MEC Dickson Masemola called on parents on Wednesday to register their children for the 2013 academic year.

"We encourage parents to utilise the registration period to curb overcrowding, so that proper allocation of learning materials can be put in place," he said.

Registration began on Wednesday and would end on November 30, he said.

Masemola said parents were encouraged to register their children at their nearest school.

"It is advisable to return the registration forms within a day or two, because admissions will be treated on first-come-first-served basis."

Would it really be of any assistance to register children now if some learners are still waiting for textbooks to complete this year's schooling? Some current learners might not even pass because of your department's (and your) uselessness!!!!

You have got to be JOKING !!! Mr Masemola...your so called Basic Education Minister just told South Africa...that there are Budget constraints and it seems basic education might not be available. I can not even find a word that truly expresses my absolute shock at this useless anc government.
