This will be a blue year - Zille

Cape Town - DA leader and Western Cape Premier Helen Zille arrived at Parliament on Thursday in an off-the-shoulder, flowing blue dress and declared 2011 a blue year in reference to her party's colours.

"This is an electoral year, so I decided to go for an electric blue dress," said Zille, reportedly wearing a creation by little-known fashion house De Villiers Couture.

"I loved the dress he made last year so I asked him to do it again this year," she said.

Responding to questions, Zille said South Africa was a much better place now than it was in 1994.

"It could have been much better, but it has improved a great deal and we are determined in the Democratic Alliance to make it better."

"This will be a blue year," she said as she turned around and headed into the building.

Northern Cape and maybe PE will swing their way in the elections?

      jkoorts - 2011-02-10 18:41

If PE swings its the end of ANC. Northens is small change.

If PE swings, itll be a boost for the DA heading for national elections in 2-3 years from now. But will it happen? I doubt it 100% Zille talks about a blue year in 2011,the closest they will get are blue movies made available to DA members.

It is all about a point of view isn't it? Some people see SA as much worse off and others see SA as the best place in the world since 1994, namely the ANC. Zille sees it as a better place. Everyone to his/her own. In spite of her views I think she is doing a great job.

Iagree Mrs Zille... 2011 is going to be the BEST YET for the DA!!!
