Voting delayed as ANC covers all bases

2012-12-17 20:11

Cape Town - Voting for the ANC's top six officials has been delayed as it emerged that the party's electoral committee was printing three separate ballots.

Voting was expected start earlier in the afternoon after nominations for preferred candidates were concluded, but it is now tentatively scheduled to start at 20:30.

According to an eNCA report, the electoral committee was required to print three separate ballots in order to cover all legal eventualities with the the issues with the Free State and North West branches.

Lawyers representing disgruntled members from both branches had  informed the ANC that they would apply for an urgent interdict to halt the conference if members from both provinces continue to participate.

Kindly refrain from insulting BW, they are an honest, organized respectable circus. But when it comes to entertainment you can't beat the ANC!

  • willem.dehaan.94 - 2012-12-17 20:53

I rather like that slogan on the flag or banner on the photo - "selfless struggle"! Wonderful! All that struggling for you, the people (who are living in poverty and squalor and protests every day everywhere about no service delivery, no jobs, no education etc etc), not for us, the party leaders, ministers, members of parliament, town councillors etc (who have our hands in the till, collect fat cheques, live in mansions in formerly white suburbs, put our children in formerly white private schools, are treated in private hospitals by mostly white doctors, drive big cars, swill only the best whisky and champagne, fly overseas to buy clothes etc). One honest ANC leader, in a moment of unguarded weakness, confessed the truth: "I did not join the struggle to stay poor!" "Selfless struggle" - really, a good one!

      zapadela.tistarocha - 2012-12-17 21:10

""White"" appears too many times in your post to be taken seriously.

I have got a sneaky feeling that Nelson has already passed away and the ruling party the ANC is covering it all up till after the Manguang conference has passed, all the conflicting stories that he is in 1 Military hospital, then a private clinic in Pretoria, then a suspicious ambulance has left 1 Military hospital!!! This is a very fishy story that the disgruntled ruling party is hiding, Trevor Manuel leaving, come on people lets see, but I personally feel Nelson has passed on, there is no real answers what is wrong with him but a total blackout of news till after Manguang. Please comment!!!! lets see the truth come out?
