Youth League is important - Zuma

2013-01-12 16:19

Durban - The African National Congress would work with the party's youth league to address its challenges, President Jacob Zuma said on Saturday.

Speaking at the party's 101st anniversary celebrations at Durban's Kings Park stadium, Zuma said: "We shall work with the ANC Youth League to address its challenges."

He did not elaborate what this would entail.

The party would attempt to ensure that the league would continue to "live up to its proud legacy of being a preparatory school for ANC cadreship".

He said the organisation also needed to render more support to the ANC Veterans League as well as the uMkhonto weSizwe Veterans Association.

shut up, idiot. wat do u know abt importance

      Mbongeni Masilela - 2013-01-12 16:31

I'm begging you, please don't criticize president Zuma, he has had enough of your negative more. Respect!

With respect: I have never read so much BS as I have read today. You are what you are and I’m afraid that caramelized BS will still be BS no matter how sweet you make it.

YL: "Dear Mr Zuma, please help us with our biggest issue.. every year we are getting older. We want to be youth forever..."

      ingwani.sithole - 2013-01-12 18:46

I agree Malema is a man.

      ronald.stilianou - 2013-01-12 20:17

Can someone from the ANC please answer this question for me.... If the ANC is going to support the veterans and the umkhonto we siswe veterans, would you guys be offended if the DA give more support to the SADF veterans that were active in the bush war?, and the guys that has done service during the transition period 93, 94 and 95?

      ronald.stilianou - 2013-01-12 20:24

Just another fact: The youth league will always be a thorn in your side because they have tasted the sweet nectar of tentrepreneurship, and there will always be a divide between the ANC and the league for as long as there is money to be made. Those wells are going to dry up soon and competition can be a ruthless, I expect to see a lot of so called political assassinations in the coming months.

"He did not elaborate what this would entail". Same with all his speeches, regardless of the topic.

Dear World Please don't think all South Africans are this stupid.

      William Mohlolo - 2013-01-12 19:00

Dear world u knew SA then and you know it now!! Those stupids are the reason some idiots are still in this country!!!

  • difa.mashwama - 2013-01-12 16:47

we appiciate the fact that the anc has reconciled with its youth league but peoples like malema must be banned from speaking in public until he becomes able to differentiate between good

All this chaos just because they wanted to get rid of Mbeki. At least Mbeki looked and behaved like a head of state, who didnt behave like Zuma nor did he go to the UN wearing clothes that looked like a pyjamas like Mandela did.

  • Mamokwee Rathipa - 2013-01-12 16:49

Malema was never important. And he added no value to the ANC.

      koos.vandermerwe.75 - 2013-01-12 17:05

Not so. He was used to “test” popular propaganda and probable future policies for the cANCer. He just outwore his usefulness when he got the idea that he is in control then of course the cANCers ejected him. The tool was a tool and disposable ironically enough.

"Proud legacy of being a preparatory school for ANC cadreship". Yes they teach them well. Building compounds, self aggrandizing, nepotism, tender rigging, oppression, the whole caboodle. And meanwhile they are $h1tscared of the ex "army" lot who are trained and out of work....

JZ has no intention of disbanding the league. The really problem wt the league is age. A 34yr old man wt a mansion in Sandton can't be traeted as youth. There must b age limit of 25yrs old. Those 30 something won't deal wt issues of youth, they have families 2take care of and tenders 2chase.

They are very important ok! Otherwise where do i get my jokes from in the papers? or whos gonna teach the youth to hate whites and steal and murder non stop? huh? ya exactly...not important...pfffffft idiots. Cant believe what has happened to my anc i just wanna cry, and person black or white who disagrees is a palooka and deserves to pay taxes is this rubbish place. i wish i could leave.
