Zuma: ANC doesn't tolerate wrongdoing

2012-06-29 22:41

Johannesburg - The ANC needed to demonstrate that it does not tolerate wrongdoing, President Jacob Zuma said in Midrand, Johannesburg on Friday.

"Conference emphatically condemned factionalism and agreed that political discipline is a necessary ingredient without which no organisation can achieve its goals," Zuma said in his closing address at the ANC's national policy conference.

"Members who are found guilty of wrongdoing in other institutions of society should also be subjected to internal disciplinary processes in line with the ANC code of conduct."

He said there should be no favouritism when it came to disciplining ANC members.

"Let our rules have no eyes," said Zuma. "Instill discipline across all levels of the organisation without fear or favour."

He said delegates also agreed that its leagues understood and played their role within the ANC.

"... Leagues [must] understand and play their full role in line with the purpose for which they were founded," said Zuma.

He said the leagues needed to undergo compulsory political training conducted by the ANC.

they just can't get it right. but one thing they are very good at is propaganda, con stories and lies. And Zuma is the biggest con artist and lier of them all. He thinks the people in this country serves him, but his wrong he serves us. But he just can't figure that out by himself. His power trip is nearing an end and he is carrying on like it's gonna last another 100 years, buying jets and forcing the people of the country to look after his wife's. WTF, is this guy living in a fairy tail world or what?

      Keith - 2012-07-01 07:22

Well, Jellyarse, if your language in the deleted comment was as colourful as this one, I'm not surprised. I can understand you being cross, but that doesn't entitle you to use bad language so freely.

      John - 2012-07-01 23:33

No, no, he's right! The DON'T tolerate it, they INSTIGATE it..

He said the leagues needed to undergo compulsory political training conducted by the ANC. 1. Deny, deny, deny comrades, and if that fails...... 2. Lie, lie, lie...........! Join the ANC Comrades, let the revelooting continue. Live high, deny & lie, whilst the people suffer & die !

What does WRONG actually mean in the dictionary of the ANC..?? What is not acceptable.? Why would the policy of discriminating against me, just because I am white not considered as wrong.?(BEE) What have my children done to be labelled as not good enough, just because they are white..?? When and how does the government hope to make all the bad stuff just go away overnight..? Does the fact that by his own admission, Zuma has declared that their members need political training, imply that they are stupid and useless..?I think so must be not so smart to do what they are doing. They just saying the right stuff to please the massed of poor people, who will just stay poor as long as the government is reaping the cream off the top. When we stop paying tax, they will wake up, and guess will be too late. WELL DONE ANC... Amandla comrades’... You really are clever. Now how about a banana...while there are still farmers who know how to farm..?

  • scouter.fourone - 2012-06-29 23:13

Just when I thought we'd heard it all he manages to come up with this pearl of wisdom. But the quote of the day has to be "Let our rules have no eyes" - yup, that just about sums up the ANC approach to wrong doing - just close your eyes to it and carry on as normal. What an absolute farce.

  • logical007 - 2012-06-29 23:23

      juan.prinsloo.750 - 2012-06-30 02:28

It is all yada yada, with absolutely no substance to back it up. Zuma is very well known for protecting his allies from the consequences of wrong doing, corruption etc.

  • Mossie Geldenhuys - 2012-06-29 23:45

Zuma: Blah blah blah.....blah blah blah....blah blah blah

  • Bless Boswell - 2012-06-29 23:51

Since when does the ANC not tolerate wrongdoing? Or, is their definition of wrongdoing different from most other people's definition? Is it ok to misappropriate funds intended for the people? Is it ok to take a big fat commission for factoring a business deal with government? Is it ok to use public funds to visit girlfriends in a Swiss jail when apparently on "business", is it ok to employ your in adequately trained family at inflated salaries with ridiculous perks, is it ok to give money to IMF to make SA look good - especially when her people are homeless and starving? This new geniality mr Zuma does not suit you. Waving your hands like Malema - makes you look ridiculous

  • dave.prinsloo - 2012-06-30 00:01

blah blah blah blah fish paste

  • Marco - 2012-06-30 00:28

once again i think el presidente is seriously overestimating the effects of his "keep south africa uneducated" campaign. the people are not as ignorant as the anc thinks

  • tony.naidoo - 2012-06-30 01:53

Of course, Mr President. The ANC runs a tight ship. No place for leaks. Only drips!

  • Gregory Jurgens - 2012-06-30 04:58

Does That exclude corruption rape and nepotism. Squandering public funds,

      rob.baggaley - 2012-06-30 11:10

It would HAVE to....Otherwise Zuma would be lying.

  • collen.masetla - 2012-06-30 05:25

But mr pres,if u stil one, Makhura of Gauteng thinks no leader with allegations even if he hasn't gone to court should lead the ANC, that is one policy proposal and you are almost saying the same thing. Are you aware that it also covers/include you?\r\n\r\nAny by the way your mind is half, you can't be aware of that until they say your name directly. The only thing that you said n ANCYL never said was discipline, your legacy. But funny illdisciple to u is when you critisized. \r\n\r\nSo your speeches at the conference was copy and paste from the ANCYL AND PRESIDENT JULIUS SELLO MALEMA.

This is what you get when you try and mix primitive tribal culture with modern day western democracy. It just doesnt work. Tribal culture dictates that your chief can do no wrong. So the masses believe that whatever Zuma has done, is ok, because he is the Chief. Zuma himself truly believes that whatever he has done, is ok, because he is the Chief. So, one set of rules for him, and another for everyone else.

      nkululeko.gcwensa - 2012-06-30 11:59

      Really? wow that very misleading!!!!!

      sean.lambie.3 - 2012-07-02 00:52

@nkululeko.gcwensa - Patrick does have a very valid point !! Zuma and co like using tribal culture and western culture whenever it suits them !!

  • Andre Van Zyl - 2012-06-30 05:33

Let me explain what they mean by wrongdoing. Wrongdoing means: Don't p*ss JZ off. Rape, nepotism, corruption are all ok, only things he wouldn't do.

Education is in a mess cause the Service Providers is not doing what they suppose to do, they don't abide by Quality Assurance and those responsible for writing Learning Material does a cut-and-paste Internet job. Yes, Education is in a crises. I agree.

  • michael.e.bowery - 2012-06-30 07:18

If you read my memoirs SHRED WHEN READ and the revelations regarding the ANC torture camp of QUATRO and others, you will see what ANC re-habilitation and re-education is all about. Put simply, it was torture and sometimes death for not toeing the then ANC line. Zuma assisted in creating that programme too. Spookoctopus

  • gregory.jurgens - 2012-06-30 07:32

Zuma your wives get R10 000 of tax payers money each every day, yet the grant for pensioners is R40 of which most support unemployed families with. U are a disgrace, a parasite on the Backs of the taxpayer.

  • vmeiring1 - 2012-06-30 07:36

Wow, after 17 years the tax payers money was stolen left and right by the ruling party and it's members, but basically nothing was done. And now the statement "will not tolerate wrongdoing". The ruling party keeps on being a joke.

  • Brad.Kopping - 2012-06-30 07:36

That's a quality statement to make after the "wrongdoings" have already been perpetrated! It's like a kid stealing all the candy in the jar, and then being rapped on the knuckles as it lies empty on the floor, the sweets already ingested, and the kid is licking the last bit of candy off his lips. Sad fact, even if there were good intentions to weed out these wrong-doers the Govt just does not have the skills, the methods, or the ethical backbone to actually monitor and prosecute these people. The sieve is leaking, no...pouring!

  • Danny - 2012-07-10 11:14

Talking of wrongdoings:there is no law in this country other than the taxi bosses who is way above the law.Jacob Zuma gets riot police and various protections but Eugene Zama ,the Metro Police BOSS in Durban, has to fear for his life from this ruthless taxi gangsterism.Just for stopping and charging the wrongdoers-taxis,he Eugene Zama becomes a prisoner in his own house. The taxis are free to fly past other obedient motorists along the emergency yellow lines whilst the police is changing shifts between 5am and 8am.daily.Now wake up and have a no-nonsense towards taxi gangsterism and get the riot police and the SANDF to protect the anti-corrupt Eugene Zama.
