Zuma undermined the youth - Malema

2012-06-20 09:45

Johannesburg - Expelled ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema has accused President Jacob Zuma of undermining the youth, according to a report on Wednesday.

Malema criticised Zuma for attending a G20 summit in Mexico at the weekend, instead of addressing a Youth Day rally in the Eastern Cape.

"President Zuma undermines the youth of South Africa," Malema said in North West province on Tuesday, according to an SABC radio news report.

"How can he leave June 16 [Youth Day]?," asked Malema.

Zuma's spokesperson, Mac Maharaj, said the president's schedule had to be adjusted for him to travel to Mexico. Maharaj denied reports that Zuma wanted to avoid being heckled at the Youth Day rally.

The Sunday Times reported that Zuma "dodged" the event because he expected to be booed and ridiculed by Malema supporters.

Malema also criticised the ANC march to the Goodman Gallery in Johannesburg to protest against The Spear, a painting depicting Zuma with exposed genitals.

"They want to march for a spear but none of them has ever marched against rape," said Malema.

"That week when they were marching for a spear, there was a young girl who was raped by seven boys. None of them said let us march against these boys."

The ANC in Limpopo this week condemned the reported rape of a 5-year-old girl in the province. She had already allegedly been raped three times by three different men in her lifetime.

Malema is a joke...ANC is a joke...JZ is a joke! U march to much in your lifes...why dont you guys march down to work for a change and earn a living instead of wanting to be given a living???

      Rabble-Rouser - 2012-06-20 10:04

Is it that fat boy that bleats so much?

      Squeegee - 2012-06-20 10:05

We should have told all the G20 nations to change the date to suite the youth of the Eastern Cape. Really, these selfish world leaders should have taken June 16 into consideration when planning international events. They better take juju's birthday into account next time.

      nrgx.nrg - 2012-06-20 10:07

As much as I feel that jz could have left a little later and attended the the youth rally, I also feel that G20 summit is much more important than speaking to a bunch of sing, dancing and toyi-toying youth, who, in my oinion, know nothing of what happened '76.

      Janice - 2012-06-20 10:07

"How can he leave June 16?" Eish!!! I just dont know!!!!!

      spartanx93 - 2012-06-20 10:24

I think the G20 is a little more important than addressing a group of misfits who want everything handed to them on a silver platter!

      multi.purpose.1 - 2012-06-20 12:28

This is regarded as treason!!! Julius Malema, if you where in another Country you would have been assassinated or killed!!...What are you trying to do?? It has started, they will stand up against each other and wipe out any living creature in their way!!! You are sweeping war comments and your behaviour is gross insubordinate..Do not be surprised if forces "out of our control" takes action against your racist and degrading remarks.

      nigel.vanysendyk - 2012-06-20 13:35

@multi.purpose.1 it is treason, he is directly confronting the President & the ANC govt. this is treason, in addition to this he wants to overthrow the ANC Govt. by trying to start an uprising against the govt, while pretending to care about the poor & unemployed, this is treason & he should be locked up in jail, not just kicked out.

      smellarat.smith - 2012-06-22 09:02

No Mr. Malema, despite not getting enough credit, Mr.Zuma actually undermined "stupid".

  • Develyn33 - 2012-06-20 09:50

"They want to march for a spear but none of them has ever marched against rape," said Malema Julius must have a new publicist - first sensible thing he has ever said. Pity for him we all know he is clutching at straws to stay in the lime light.

      Schmee - 2012-06-20 10:23

I think he has started reading comments made by News24 readers. I recall that when the marched against the Spear there were many comments from readers wondering why they don't march against something that counts. Now all of a sudden Malema is saying it. Definitely trying hard to stay in the lime light.

      Malcolm - 2012-06-20 10:47

@Schmee.gol - Well if he is actually capable of reading now then that is already some amazing progress, the ANC better watch out because Jesus is coming to town

      Klippies - 2012-06-20 11:06

He definitely has someone new doing his thinking for him. Very good point as well.

      walter.o.latham - 2012-06-20 11:07

      LOL that's also true Malcolm. What was I thinking? - 2012-06-20 11:49

      He's learning from the DA...

      KB - 2012-06-20 12:39

Stupidity is most dangerous incurable desease that blinded human kind... someone rather die than to accept naked truth... I am not malema's fan but this time He make sense... but his speach does not change the person who He is..

      handy.andy.773 - 2012-06-20 13:04

Yep Julias, when they were marching against Zuma's rape case you were his biggest supporter.

      Kala - 2012-06-20 13:24

He is not standing for anything but the removal of Zuma. Don't be fooled by his apparent turn around.

  • James - 2012-06-20 09:52

Who cares what Juliaarse thinks!!!! idiot has been.

      poloyatonkim - 2012-06-20 10:14

Malema makes a lot of sense."They want to march for a spear but none of them has ever marched against rape," You need to take off your racist blanket and support Mr Malema.

      Schmee - 2012-06-20 10:24

Sorry Poloy but the other 99% of the time Malema says dumb things. I don't support someone that is dumb 99% of the time.

      James - 2012-06-20 10:33

@poloyaktonkim Dont you see what he is trying to do here?? he has been spewing sh*t for the last 10 years and now we must "take off our racist blanket" NEVER NEVER NEVER!!! You must wake up and start seeing him for what he REALLY is! AN IDIOT WITH HIS OWN AGENDA!!!

      yar.wellnofine - 2012-06-20 10:34

@Poloyatonki Julius makes no sense. Nor do you Seriously!!!!!

      sean.carbutt - 2012-06-20 11:28

You can't reason with idiots like polio, so just ignore him. This lot will only be happy when sa is in total ruin, when everybody is "equal", thats equally poor, equally stupid, equally oppressed. The ancyl culture is not one that encourages earning a living, no no, this lot want to steal, then when done with that, they deny, then they blame and then pull the ace, racisim. Retards have more intelligence that this lot

      poloyatonkim - 2012-06-20 11:37

Kenny.. how dare you call a guy who is fight for the millions of African youth a crook.. - 2012-06-20 11:38

Polio Toxin,(or something like that), you are definitely losing it bru. None of the ANC will support a march against rape - they're trying to have it accepted as a sport at the next Olympics. I cannot believe how many people think Malema still matters - no more comments on him from me.......

      James - 2012-06-20 11:44

@poloy Hey bru catch a wake up!!! Do you think he has your or my interests at heart???Seriously!!! BWAHAHAHAHA!

      boltonbarry - 2012-06-20 12:37

Poloy. If you think he is fighting for the Millions you are a fool. As to how dare he call him a thief. Here is how he does that. You use the keyboard to type it really easy. Here is an example. " Julius Malema is a thief, cretin, un-intellectual, moron", or as you natives would say. He is a stupid." Really easy

  • francois.smith.7 - 2012-06-20 09:52

Way to go Malema! You also undermine the youth by saying that land expropriation without compensation will take place, you undermine them by not marching for proper schooling (you did as a very young man - what happened), you undermine them by saying that you are not a capitalist whilst you are living in splendour, if you have gotten one cent from an illegal tender you have stolen one cent from the youth. Stand up and be counted - get to court or come clean. You can be better than Zuma by confessing. We are hoping you will!

      James - 2012-06-20 11:05

Seriously!!!!! Do you think he will ever be tried and convicted??? Sadly i think not.

      nigel.burgess.52 - 2012-06-20 10:38

  • thadelphukem.completely - 2012-06-20 09:56

Who cares what Malema has to say??? All fat-boy thinks about is himself, his pocket and his image... Perhaps if he really cared for the youth or the general public we'd actually give a s*^t what he thinks or says... What a complete mentard!!! Now go away Juli-baby, no-one gives a damn what you think or feel...

  • elphaas.mgiba - 2012-06-20 09:57

Julius Malema is the most dangerous politician. He is the reason JZ avoided June 16, and the staring behind the current happenings in the ANC, he must be avoided. ANC is better without him and JZ.

  • clive.wannenburg - 2012-06-20 09:58

Dont like Julius but he is right in they only march for themselves and not for a good cause, rape and disregard for law in this counrty is totaly out of control and needs to be addressed as a matter of concern If we want to be a first world counrty we need to start behaving like one and stand up against wrong doings and for the people not just for personal gain.

  • peter.jefferies.90 - 2012-06-20 09:59

Shut up Julius, nobody cares anymore!! ANd why now do you start talking about things like rape???????????????????? NOw that you have no power and you want votes, when you had power all you spoke about was money and taking everything from everyone! Go back to Cow farming!

      Adjecent Sekhaolelo - 2012-06-20 10:13

give malema a break,he was fired because of facing the truth!

  • eyesears.handsfeet - 2012-06-20 10:00

Julius Julius Julius! Really? How is marching against rape, crime or violence going to save all the victims that already went through it, going to help? Where is your loud mouth when it is needed, or are you just running another media campaign again for political reasons? Rather speak to the youth and ask them to have respect for the small and for women. You don't have to like women to have respect for them, but never the less have respect! Without them you would not have been able to have your son. The young ones are supposed to be the future but they cannot be the future if someone does not teach them. Put your voice to good use and start talking to the young ones with regards to the rapes, the violence and the crime issues. Maybe, just maybe you will still be able to make a difference. And do us all a favour. Stay out of the political domain; it is only harming you personally.

  • Brad.Kopping - 2012-06-20 10:00

      boltonbarry - 2012-06-20 12:45

Tell me this. So lets say the ANC have expropriated all the white and foreign owned land. How will you and Malema create jobs on these lands that are sustainable. Will the black folk in this country return to their roots and live the life of hunter gatherers or will your Youth league have some form of plan to sustain the agriculture of this country and thereby creating jobs

  • Aziza - 2012-06-20 10:01

Are they going to finance your holiday in Mangaung? Please try not to trash the hotel or guest lodge and please ensure you pay the Bill when you leave.

You are making life very intresting for sure and please note that you are making more and more enemies. You are ridiculed for you are sweeping the majority of uneducated people of their feet by knowledge that you have aquired by change from the ANC. I think your one of those militant types. No not think I know. Be assured that you will be met with heavy resistance and your forces of cronnies will be sqaused and blown to pulp once your movement gathers momentum. Who am I, I'm a well educated individual with the neccesary competency and capabilty criteria to make such a remark. Oh don't let the matter that I'm white make me out to be a racist think what you like. Thread carefully because your not an asset to South Africa. See this as you would like or not.
