This mom found a cheesy way to celebrate her baby’s growth (and it's not the #cheesechallenge).
As a mom you’re more in tune with your baby than anybody else. But when there’s a change in how he looks or acts, should you head for emergency room? Here are the most common signs for alarm.
All you want to know about growth charts and how to use them.
Don't feel nervous about your baby's very first check-up.
When my son was born he weighed 3.5kg, and now, at the age of 12 weeks, he weighs 6kg. Is this the normal weight for a baby of his age? He is not fat, but people remark on how big he is. It seems as though he is just not getting enough food to satisfy him. I try to feed him every3 hours, as I would like to stick to a routine, but not long after he has fed he starts niggling and chews at his fingers. I assume that he is hungry, and when I feed him again he drinks as if he has been starved. Should I change him from my breast to formula, or even feed him puréed vegetables?

How do you know when your toddler has gone from chubby baby to chunky child? A dietician answers our questions.
My daughter is turning 1 soon and her weight is worrying me. When she was born she weighed 3.93kg, she was the biggest baby in the ward. She was in hospital for 14 days as she was on antibiotics as she came into contact with her faeces while she was still in the womb. By the age of 9 months she only weighed 6.5kg, and 2 months later had only gained 1.65kg. As she wasn’t gaining weight we started taking her to the clinic every month for observation. My daughter stays with my mother during the day and she doesn’t eat well at all. She spits out any food you give her and it seems like she just doesn’t like eating. She has gained some weight since our visit to the clinic but since she is teething she’s started to lose weight again as she doesn’t want to eat even the things she usually prefers.
