South Africa's unemployment rate has risen by 0.3% to 27.5% in the third quarter of 2018, Stats SA announced on Tuesday morning.
The official unemployment rate increased by 0.5% to 27.2% in the second quarter of 2018, up from 26.7% in the first three months of the year.
Quarterly unemployment data released by Stats SA highlights the bleak job prospects for young South Africans, with the jobless rate rising to 33.6%.
