New York - A new report says about 61% of Facebook users have taken a break from the site for at least a few weeks for reasons that range from being busy to getting bombarded with "too much drama".
A Pew survey released on Tuesday says that of American adults who use the internet, 67% are on Facebook, making it the dominant online social network in the country.
But Facebook users come and go. One-fifth of internet users who don't use Facebook say they have used it at one point.
People's reasons for a Facebook break are varied, the top being too busy. Privacy and security concerns were low on the list. The study of 1 006 US adults was done in December.
It has a margin of error of 3.6 percentage points.
