Cape Town – The North West University launched its own mobile app on Monday.

The app is already available in the Google Play, Apple and BlackBerry stores.

This is the first time a mobile app is launched at a university in South Africa based on the Kuali Mobility for the Enterprise (KME) framework.

Personnel and students at all three campuses will have access to the app and can use it as a chat function for internal communication between personnel, students and student groups.

Students can also check their results online, check for maps, get help in case of an emergency and get access to the student newspaper.

The app, which is free to download, is compatible for BlackBerry, Android and iOS.
