Sony reveals new products

Cape Town – Sony announced an expansive line-up of new products and technologies at the Sony Conference for Africa that was held in Cape Town.

Sony’s newest devices offer something for everyone from Wi-Fi capability, internet connectivity and easy One-touch function using Near Field Communication (NFC) to High Definition, 3D, 4K.

The Sony Xperia Z smartphone, which is already available in stores, boasts a range of unparalleled features, including a 5-inch Full HD Reality Display, S4 Pro quad-core processor and a 13 megapixel camera.

Xperia Z’s Reality Display brings Sony’s TV expertise to the smartphone. The smartphone shares capabilities with Sony digital cameras and features Exmor RS for mobile.

Sony is also adding two new 4K Ultra HD LED TVs to its TV line-up. On the heels of the launch of the 84-inch 4K LED TV in 2012, Sony will add a 65-inch and 55-inch screen sizes in the X series - 4K Ultra HD LED TVs. With four times the resolution of Full HD these models deliver immersive home entertainment experience, with the highest picture quality regardless of the content or source.

Other products that will be available in 2013 are Sony’s Cyber-shot HX300 digital still camera that features a huge 50x optical zoom range and the HDR-AS15 Action Cam that weighs just 90g.

The new MDR-XB920 headphones from Sony take their cue from latest music trends and provide club music lovers with a whole new look that brings the party right to their ears in style.

The Sony Mgongo Shake-7 is a new super high power Home Audio System with massive power output. This home audio system is designed for the true music lover who craves for high powered audio and heavy bass.
