Wouldn’t you like to switch up your viewing experience of film to screenings in the most beautiful locations in the Cape? This summer, the V&A Waterfront, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Hillcrest Quarry, are able to accommodate you.

Add good food and wine to this possible family event, and you’ll be experiencing the ultimate outdoor cinema affair.

The Galileo Open Air Cinema festival, which has been screening films for the past seven weeks, showcases classics such as Rocky, Dirty Dancing, Home Alone and others, which can be found on the Galileo website. Three movies are screened per week, throughout the different venues until 24 April 2014.

Tickets are R70 online, and R80 on location. Additional charge of R10 will qualify you for blanket hire, as well as R20 additional cost for chair hire. Food and drinks are available at each venue. Doors open at 18:00pm.
