The Vineyard Hotel & Spa will be hosting an intimate three-course Celebratory Dinner on Friday, 29 November 2013 to laud the fine achievements of junior chef, Samantha Temmers, and in-house trainee sommelier, Ndaba Dube, who was awarded the “Best Up and Coming Wine Steward” at the inaugural Inter Hotel Challenge held this year.

The Celebratory Dinner will take place in the Binnehof at the Vineyard Hotel & Spa at 7pm. Guests will be treated to a re-creation of Samantha’s delicious three-course meal, paired by Ndaba’s wine selection, which showcased in the competition that saw 10 of the Cape’s premier hotels compete against one another.

For starters, guests can tuck into a duckliver parfait with a pineapple and vanilla compote and a five-spice tuille served with Pongracz Brut. The main course is a pork trio including slow-roasted pork belly, braised pork cheek in crapetnet and pan-fried pork fillet wrapped in bacon, all paired with Prongracz Brut Rose. And then to end off the evening, guests can indulge in a Baked Alaska with a glazed fruit ice cream, cinnamon biscuit base and Italian meringue and citrus jellies, paired with the premium Desiderius Prongracz.

The Celebratory Dinner is R250.00pp including the MCC's. In house guests and non-residents are encouraged to make a booking as seats are limited.

The Inter Hotel Challenge, proudly sponsored by wine ambassador, Cape Legends, involved candidate chefs from the 10 participating hotels in Cape Town each preparing a delicious and ambitious three-course meal, paired with specially selected wines from their respective hotel’s wine stewards.
