Cape Town - Monday signals the start of the big back-to-school slog and as the end of the school holidays approaches, Airports Company South Africa, (Acsa) has issued the following advisory for travellers.
”Our staff is committed and dedicated to providing a world-class service to those visiting our airport by ensuring passengers have a safe journey,” Deborah Francis, Cape Town International Airport’s acting Communication Manager said in a statement.

- If passengers have used online check-in service, they should allow for enough time to drop off their luggage with their airlines.
- Passengers are advised to please not pack valuable items in the check-in luggage.
- Travelers with lost, pilfered or damaged luggage should report this immediately to their airline prior to leaving the airport.

Activities will be on show from 11 to 14 July at the ground floor food court, international and domestic arrivals.
Acsa also announced July signals the company's 20th year of service and as part of celebrating this milestone, airport retailers are running a number of activations with free giveaways if passengers spend more than R 2000 at International Departures.

"To celebrate our birthday on the 23th of July there will be a Cloud 9 experience at International Departures; we will be having a Marimba band, Gumboot dancers and various tastings at the international departures lounge area, as well as the opportunity to win an Audi A4,"said Francis.
