Comair: We will honour FlySafair tickets

2013-10-09 12:50
Comair has confirmed it will accommodate FlySafair passengers, after the new airline was grounded by a court interdict.

After issuing FlySafair with an interdict preventing its October launch, the court ordered Comair to accommodate passengers who had purchased FlySafair tickets.

ENCA reports Comair communications manager Susan Van Der Ryst said the airline would honour FlySafair tickets “at face value”.

FlySafair started selling tickets at the end of August despite Comair's threaten court action against it.

Comair is said to be in negotiations to finalise the details of the agreement.  Additionally, FlySafair has pledged to refund the tickets of passengers who choose not to reschedule their flights.

“Following negotiations with all the major banks and having provided guarantees to the Air Services Licensing Council, passengers are guaranteed that their money will be refunded,” the airlines said.
