Flights to Margate resume

2013-10-31 13:46

Durban - Scheduled domestic flights between the KwaZulu-Natal south coast tourism town of Margate and Johannesburg are set to resume on Friday.

The service between the Margate airport and OR Tambo International will be operated by CemAir using 19-seater Beech 1900 aircraft, the airline's chief financial officer Laura van der Molen said.

According to a press release on the Hibiscus Coast District municipality website, Margate has not had scheduled air services for the past three years.

Van der Molen said the new service would operate twice a week, but the frequency would be increased to daily during the holiday season.
