IATA Survey: What do you the passenger want?

2013-07-11 21:53
Cape Town - We've all been there, a moment of utter frustration due to long queues or delayed flights. Perhaps you've been pleasantly surprised by the innovation of one particular airline you've recently flown. Here is your chance to be heard, by an organisation at the pulse point of the aviation industry and pivotal to exact change and improvements.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA), representative of more than 240 airlines comprising 84% of global air traffic, is currently carrying out a Global Passenger Survey on what your travel preferences are in order to gain insights into your needs and concerns as a traveller.

According to IATA, the survey aims to get your opinion on things such as check-in, security, boarding and airport queues - and is accessible here: www.iata.org/paxsurvey.

It looks at options that could eradicate the need to physically check-in, all the way to the possibility of biometric data being used instead of a boarding pass.

The survey results will be shared at the World Passenger Symposium in October and we'll keep you posted on the results.
