Johannesburg - Lanseria's runway has reopened after an aircraft's wheels collapsed during landing, causing the runway to close for about 45 minutes.

"We had a small aircraft land and the undercarriage collapsed," airport spokeswoman Claudette Vianello said.

The undercarriage includes the wheels.

Vianello said the wheels had come out on landing, but "collapsed".

No injuries were reported. Four people were on board the aircraft at the time.

"We are 100% back on track," Vianello said.

The incident happened around 8.30am.

The Civil Aviation Authority would investigate the incident.
