NEW: Supersonic jet with a screen instead of windows

2014-02-21 16:38
If you’re a dreamer who likes to travel, you probably LOVE the window seat – staring out at the clouds, little lights down below and, sometimes, vast stretches of nothing.

However, there are a few downsides to getting a window seat – one of which is sun glare.

Well, a Boston-based engineering firm called Spike Aerospace recently released plans for a new supersonic jet that will have that problem sorted out with a wrap-around digital screen.

Before you explode in outrage, hear us out. Fortunately this screen won’t be playing terrible reality shows, but will rather give you a 360 view of what’s going on outside the cabin with the help of Cameras surrounding the entire aircraft.

The Huffington Post reports that the S-512 jet will be able to transport passengers from Los Angeles to Tokyo in five hours and should debut in December 2018.
