Sugar Bay, a beautiful adventure camp situated in Zinkwazi Beach, KwaZulu-Natal  pretty much sums up your child’s camp dreams into one location.

With a highly secured property, private access to a safe lagoon, tropical climate, protected ocean, access to forests, farmlands and village, Zinkwazi is the ideal location for a children's holiday.

Here are five reasons why you might just want to consider sending your children off to Sugar Bay during a school holiday break...

1.    It’s unique
Sugar bay is one of a kind in SA as it happens to be the only camp that specialises in holiday campus. To put it into perspective think American-styled holiday camps for kids, you know the kind you always see in the movies.  But Sugar Bay is also the only camp that is a part of the South African Grading Council and Southern Africa Tourism Services Association, which is a pretty huge deal.

2.    The activities offered are endless

Not only does Sugar Bay offer a seemingly endless list of activities, but it also offers your child the option to compile his/her list of activities, giving your child freedom to do activities that speak to him/her.  It gets better, since the trainers responsible in these activities are professional, there is a system whereby your child can progress and be certified in most of these activities. How awesome is that?

Some of the most popular activities include:

•    Surfing

•    Body boarding

•    Stand up Paddle Boarding

•    Kayaking

•    Ocean Swimming and introduction to Lifeguard training (not currently certified)

•    Skateboarding

•    BMX'ing

•    Paintball

•    Climbing & Ropes courses

•    Dance (variety of styles)

•    Arts and Crafts activities

4.    Your child will come back a different person

The structure, as well as the activities set out by Sugar Bay camp will impact your child in tremendous ways. Did you know that there are enormous psychological and behavioural benefits linked to children travelling without their parents?  Children will learn to be more independent, their confidence levels will be boosted, activities will contribute to a healthier body, and there is also access to a wealth of knowledge and skill development within the activities offered.

5.    Your child will love you for it

Ahh, the grand prize, love and affection from your pride and joy. This really is the icing on top, as your child will be grateful for the opportunity you have given him or her to spread his/her wings, acquire new skills, make new friends, and ultimately make beautiful memories, and who doesn't want that?
