Private Island anyone? Buy this one!

2014-02-27 14:53
Ever dreamed of having your very own private island? Of course you have and guess what – now you can at the small price of $110 million (R1.1bn at R10.84).

Breaking Travel News reports that Pumpkin Key, a private island in the Florida Keys, was put on the market on Wednesday.

It apparently offers a unique mix of seclusion, splendour and convenience and is part of the prestigious Ocean Reef community, located less than an hour from Miami.

The 10-hectare haven is dotted with palms and bougainvillea and lined with winding golf cart paths, serving as an ideal family compound or could be developed to include 12 bay-front homes owned by several families.

And get this – all building rights are in place and each lot has water, electricity and a telephone line extended from shore.

So, really, there’s no excuse for you not to buy it. You just may want to invest in a little helicopter/private jet to get you there, but, hey! That’s small fry.
