Mount Grace rejoins African Pride

2013-11-18 16:10

Magaliesburg -  After only nine months as an independent brand, Mount Grace Country House and Spa will be renewing its partnership with African Pride Hotels, effective from 1 December 2013.

Owned by real estate investment trust, Hospitality Property Fund (HPF), Mount Grace had previously ended its five year partnership with African Pride Hotels with the aim of establishing itself as one of South Africa’s leading luxury destinations, according to Managing Director, Xander Nijnens.

Located near Magaliesberg in North-West Gauteng, the luxury hotel will add 121 five-star rooms to the African Pride Hotels stable in South Africa’s most populous province.

Arthur Gillis, CEO of Protea Hospitality Group explained that the reason for partnering with Mount Grace is that it melds perfectly with the African Pride Hotels brand. Andrew Rogers, CEO of HPF, added that HPF has an existing relationship with Protea Hotels which already operate an additional 5 hotels under their various brands. He said that the resort will be undergoing certain changes to accommodate the family leisure market since no children under the age of 12 were previously allowed to make use of the resort. The property also includes an acclaimed spa and two restaurants.
