It's a lake. No, it's a park. No, it's a lake... wait, what?

If you visit the tiny Austrian town of Tragoess during winter, you may find yourself completely charmed by a quaint little park, complete with a wooden bridge and bench-with-a-view, called Gruner See or Green Lake.

A pretty weird name for a park, right? There are lots of trees, so 'Green' makes sense... but, what's up with the lake bit?

Well Huffington Post reports that if you return during spring, the scenery changes somewhat, as all the ice and snow on the surrounding mountains starts melting and trickling down into the basin.

By mid-summer (which is right about now), the park is filled completely by water, giving way to a gorgeous lake of about 12 metres deep!

It's a rather popular spot for scuba divers, and the submerged park bench is a favourite photo op spot!
