Cape Town - The small middle-eastern, Islamic nation of Qatar, pegged to host the World Cup in 2020 has just launched a new modesty campaign entitled Reflect your Respect.

The campaign, launched via twitter, aims to educate tourists about what is considered appropriate to wear in Qatar and encourages them to respect the Islamic country's values.

"If you are in Qatar, you are one of us," reads a campaign leaflet that's been shared across social media.

"Help us preserve Qatar's culture and values, please dress modestly in public places."

The campaign goes on to detail caricatures of what is not acceptable, shunning strappy dresses for women and wife-beaters or shorts for men - it also highlights the fact that leggings are not pants and this twitter user who shared the pamphlet tends to agree...
