Cape Town - In a candid interview with News24 Travel ex-Proteas legend Jonty Rhodes makes it clear he wants the cricket questions kept to a minimum saying, "That side of things is on the back burner, I'm not just a cricket player anymore."

But what he does admit is that being a professional cricket player and travelling three to four times a year instills a sense of adventure in you unlike any other job.

After an illustrious career as part of South Africa's national cricket team the Proteas and a follow-up career as a cricket coach, based mostly in India, Rhodes is extending his talents to include travel writing - specifically for Cricketlifestyle.co.za.

Watch the video as he talks about how India and South Africa measure up as travel destinations, including some of his most memorable holiday experiences -  and while he frowns on having a bucket list, he does have a few extreme travel adventure plans up his sleeve.
