Sheraton Hotels enhances club experience

Stamford - Travellers visiting Sheraton Hotels & Resorts can expect a better experience as the group has appointed 350 full-time Club Managers to its Sheraton Club lounges worldwide.

The group announced the enhanced range of personalised services in a press release and indicated that all Sheraton Club lounges would be expanding its hours of operation from five days a week to seven days a week.

The rise of the Leisure Traveller

The move has been done in order to meet rising demand among leisure travellers as Sheraton Club bookings confirmed that on average more leisure guests than business travelers were booking Club. The group said 46% of Club guests were travelling for leisure, 41% for business and the remaining 13% were travelling for a mix of business and leisure.   
Club manager roles includes:

•    Club Managers will serve as the main point of contact for Club guests arriving at Sheraton hotels
•    They will ensure guests are welcomed with some of their favorite amenities and remain on hand to assist with extras such as concert tickets and exclusive dinner reservations.
•    They will also deliver meaningful, personalized service that will build loyalty with premium business and leisure customers and give travelers another compelling reason to choose Sheraton.”

Club lounge perks:

The Sheraton Club lounges have recently been upgraded to the tune of$120 million (about R1.3bn at R10,37/$) and its amenities include:

- Complimentary breakfast
- Afternoon hors d’oeuvres
- Beverage service
- Flat-screen television
- Wi-Fi
- A selection of daily newspapers
Guests using the group have the opportunity earn 1 000 bonus Starpoints on every Sheraton Club stay from February 21, 2014 through May 31, 2014 when paying with any American Express Card.
