Sudden hail storm sends beach-goers running in Russia

It's just an ordinary day at the beach in Russia... when suddenly the sky opens up and drops ice balls the size of coconuts on everyone's heads. WATCH

Cape Town - It was just a normal day at the beach in Novosibirsk, Russia when suddenly the sky opened up and dropped hailstones the size of coconuts on everyone.

Time reports that the storm brought with it a 20 degree drop from 41 degrees Celsius to 21.

Apart from the extreme weather, it seems like Russian beaches are prone to weird happenings. 

In August last year, a massive military hovercraft plowed into a beach sending sunbathers scattering.

Fortunately no one was injured.
