World tallest water slide: terrifying doesn't even come close

2013-11-21 13:04
The height of what is set to become the World's tallest water slide has yet to be announced - but those building the Verruckt meg-a-blaster claim it will tower over the current tallest waterslide — Brazil's 134.5-foot-tall (346m) Insano.

Estimated to over 17-storeys high, you can't help imagining what the catchment pool is going to look like - - especially when you'll be sliding down at over 100kmph - obviously it needs to be pretty deep to avoid any unwanted splats. That's right, since you'll be plummeting towards the ground along with three other people on a four-person raft slide.

The Verruckt was meant to open this year but adrenalin seekers will have to wait until Spring 2014 before they get to test its mettle.

Schlitterbahn co-owner Jeff Henry described the water slide as a game changer saying the biggest challenge the park now faces is finding people brave enough to try the try the ride. Watch the video below.
