Top travel videos: water tornado, great impala escape

2013-07-12 13:34

Take a look at our selection of amazing travel videos from the week, including an impala escaping a cheetah hunt by leaping into a car.VIEW

Imagine getting to the airport, ready to head to your destination, only to be offered an all-expenses-paid trip elsewhere. Sounds pretty cool, no? Well, there's a catch - the destination is a complete mystery, only revealed after a little game of "departure roulette." Heineken recently put travellers' spontaneity to the test at JFK Airport in New York - seeing who would be gutsy enough to commit to the challenge - and caught a few stellar moments on camera. We love the idea of spontaneous travel, but not sure if we'd ever be brave enough. It's the first video in our round-up this week, so take a look and tell us if you'd ever be that crazy.

In second position we have this video of a crazy photo booth prank involving a supposed knife-wielding psycho. So, how's that travel, you may ask? Well, it isn't really we guess, but seeing we are running our family holiday pics competition at the moment, it caught our eye. So, any crazy pics of your own to share? Send them to

In third spot, we have an amazingly accurate animated reconstruction of the Asiana flight 214 crash, showing exactly what went wrong during the fatal landing by comparing it to a proper descent. Definitely worth a watch to get some clarity about the situation.

Finally, sit back and prepare yourself for some seriously picturesque and inspire armchair/office desk travel with this colourful timelapse video of Rio de Janeiro.
