5 tips for mixing business and leisure travel

2014-07-01 15:26
Each Tuesday the twitter verse comes together to talk travel – with topics ranging from the important and useful, all the way to the downright ghastly

This week's topic definitely leans toward the useful side of things, as it dealt with all things business travel.

If you've ever had to head away on a work trip, you probably know the mixed feelings this can cause.

Yay! Time spent out of the office.

But... it's not really travel of your CHOICE.

Discussing five different questions around business travel,  the Travel Talk on Twitter (#TTOT) community had some especially great answers for question three:

"How do you best combine a business trip with leisure?"

Here are five of our favourite answers:
Wondering what else they talked about?

Here are the rest of the questions and our top answers for each:

Q1. What is the biggest perk of business travel?

Q2. Which online platform offers the best (business) travel info?

What is your best business packing tip?

When the company pays how does your business travel differ from personal travels?

Be sure to join the next #TTOT - Here's how it works:

Every Tuesday at 11:30 (SA time), the chat is run by a few of the world's top travel bloggers, such as Travel DudesRoni Weiss and Runaway Juno, and aimed at getting travellers from all over the world to share their experiences.

Next topic "Business travel" via @roniweiss. Please add your questions on the  TTOT Facebook Page.

You'd be better off joining the chat via tweetdeck or hootsuite so you can following the discussion better.

It takes the form of five different questions related to the topic and will be numbered Q1 - Q5, with a couple of minutes for responses to each. In order to respond to a specific question you will start your answer with A1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, of course including #TTOT so you're included in the stream.
