News24 Travel reader, Brent Mynhart, contacted us to share his story in response to the piece detailing alleged baggage tampering captured on camera at Cape Town International Airport.

"Ahhhh things still obviously haven't changed . December 26th 2010, I flew from Cape Town Int To Johannesburg Or Tambo Int to find my bag went missing, after going up to the ACSA controller room numerous times to watch video footage.

I saw that my bag was on the right carousal belt coming into the airport  and then you see the ground staff worker picking my bag up an seeing him put it on the above carousal belt going in the totally different direction.

The staff member at ACSA said that that was the belt for international flights and after seeing the ground staff worker put it onto the above belt we lost track of it obviously being taken off on the cameras blind spot.

So there I said good bye to my bag with X-mas Presents, 3 weeks of clothing, brand new clothes and souvenirs from Cape Town. I left to Mozambique the same day with minimal an old clothes, it's sooo sad cause that guys that you see handling my bag still works there doing the same things to other peoples bags which is STEALING, cause I highly doubt that action was taken against this ground staff worker!!!! Some thing seriously needs to be done about this."
