Tell us about your blog Follow the Colours

Follow the Colours is for sharing good ideas, cool stuff, trends and inspirations from all around the world, in its various forms.

What are you most looking forward to doing while in Cape Town?

I really like everything about Cape Town. But very excited about the street art tour in Woodstock, a walk in the Fringe, meet some cool local tattoo artist, know everything about World Design Capital 2014 and enjoying other places like restaurants and tourism points.

Your most innovative cities when it comes to design and creativity, which aspects of each do you consider the most striking?

I think design can be beautiful and creative but at the same time it must bring some facilities for people.

Which of the world’s cultures do you find most inspiring and why?

I think every culture has something to inspire us. We just need to look at them with open eyes and hearts. I really like getting to know the African culture because it's very colorful and many things similar to Brazil.

If you could do one thing differently since starting Follow the Colours, what would it be?

I don’t think I would change anything or do anything differently because even with the errors, I’ve learned something good. So, I'm just happy with the path that I have taken and where I'm going.

Biggest fail most travel bloggers make?

Don't give credits for something you take from another place; Don’t just think about money.

First you have to write about a subject that you love, then, if you do great work, people will recognize you and money will be the consequence - not the aim. Be sure not to make serious grammar errors or get information completely wrong.

What do you think distinguishes a traveller from a tourist?

I don't think that has some difference. Both enjoy and like to explore the places and each of them have their own way.

Winter, Summer, Autumn or Spring – Name your favourite season to travel and why?

Definitely in Spring. The flowers are blossoming, the colours of the sky are different, and the temperature is great.

Three of your favourite people on Pinterest or Instagram?

What’s been the most useful travel innovation for you?

Skype and all these apps that connect you easily to other person in the world.

Your biggest extravagance while travelling would be?

Staying at a really fancy place. I usually try to spend my money and time on other things.

What would your absolute worst travel nightmare entail?

Going to a place and not liking it at all.

Best piece of advice you’d give to aspiring travel bloggers?

Be true with what you write and do. There's no way of getting things wrong when you do what you love, and love what you do  :)
