"Yes I've had my bag slashed, locks cut twice and everytime my bag rummaged through.

The last time they has enough time to take a full outfit minus the shoes, although I suspect this is because they had bigger feet than me. The high quality work shoes were tossed back into the back.

But they literally took. A work shirt, chino jeans, socks, underpants and a warm top. Time before they took men's imported body cologne and my anti malaria medication. Time before that ransacked my bag and took all the chocolate gifts I brought back for my kids.

I travel nearly every other week internationally into Africa via OT always with SAA. I've logged a complaint each time but so far it seems to continue.
I have now started booking shorter trips and only travel with hand luggage which I never let outbid my sight.

Arguably you may say this could happen outside OT in the other countries, but no. On all occasions except the missing chocolates I've arrived in country to find it missing after changing planes at OT.

I live in Cape Town. The pattern goes that if I check my luggage all the way through from CT and it gets to sit in OT for an hour or 2 this happens.

If I collect my luggage and then go through  the mission of re checking it back in just before I fly out of OT then it's all fine. I've done dozens of trips that way, but it's a real stress as you end up having to run to check in desk and the run to the boarding gate, I've nearly missed a few flight a like that, anyway that's my feedback.

Currently in Uganda hoping that all my luggage comes back with me in hand luggage."
