Photo of the day: Bicycles

2013-11-28 17:03

There's a little tradition on Instagram called Throwback Thursday, where users post pics of anything with an old fashioned, vintage or old-schooled tinge.

What started out as a more fashion-oriented trend, spilled over into other spheres of interest as well, including travel of course.

In today's photo of the day by Instagram user, denalon, we pay tribute to the joy that bicycles brought to our childhoods; we recognize it for being an eco-friendly mode of transport, and a continuous tool for sport. That feeling of having the wind catch your face while your feet are durably working away, never gets old, even when we do.

denalon shares a photo of his Schwinn Frankenbike, built out of spare parts in 1952. The sunset in the backdrop certainly helps to add to the vintage appeal.

Do you own a bicycle? If so, what do you use it for? Share your cycling moments with us in the comment section below or send us your thoughts to
