Photo of the day: Taking photos

2013-12-19 13:46
There's a little tradition on Instagram called Throwback Thursday, where users post pics of anything with an old fashioned, vintage or old-school tinge.

What started out as a more fashion-oriented trend, spilled over into other spheres of interest, including travel of course.

As the world rapidly advances with technology each year, sharing our travel moments can be done in just a few clicks. There's no need for dark rooms and collecting photo spools, no week-long waits or wondering what the photo developer down at the pharmacy might think, while eyeing your shots.

In today's photo of the day by Instagram user, johnnynomath, we remember how far we’ve come with taking pictures. While Johnnynomath’s image does not lead us to the beginning of the photography industry, his wall of vintage camera models sure brings back memories.

Do you own a vintage camera too? If so, we’d love to see it. Why don't you suggest your pic for our photo of the day? Follow News24 Travel and mention us in a comment on your pic and we'll check it out!
